This past week set up exactly how you want it in Miami—light winds early, a little push mid-week, and clean water holding life both inshore and offshore. When the ocean gives you that mix, you don’t force anything… you fish where it’s right, and this week it was right in a lot of places.

Inshore – Biscayne Bay Action Inside the bay stayed consistent and productive, especially on the right tides.

Mangrove snapper have been stacked up on structure—channel edges, bridges, and rock piles. Live shrimp and small pilchards got it done quick, especially on the outgoing tide when that water started moving. Yellow jacks mixed in heavy around the markers and wreck edges, aggressive and perfect for light tackle fun.

Sea trout showed up on the grass flats with that cleaner water pushing in. Early mornings were best—soft plastics and live bait both producing. Sharks have been cruising steady, especially around the deeper cuts and channels—good action for anyone looking to bend rods and hear that drag sing.

Overall inshore bite: steady, reliable, and perfect for putting numbers on the board.

Offshore – Bluewater Bite Offshore is where things started getting electric.
