Let Captain Jamie be your guide to the rich inshore waters of Wilmington, North Carolina on this half-day trip. You'll get to chase a variety of inshore gamefish species on light tackle, including Carolina classics such as Redfish, Spotted Trout, and Flounder, plus the chance for cruising Cobia, Triggerfish, Striped Bass, and more. If you get a little further out, cross your fingers for Bluefish, Bonito, Spanish Mackerel, and other speedy fish. Captain Jamie is an extremely experienced fisherman—if it swims, he's probably hooked it, and would love to help you do the same.

Captain Jamie's will take you out aboard his 21' SeaPro bay boat—a perfect vessel for the inshore waters you'll be fishing. It's equipped with a 150 HP Yamaha motor, so you'll be on the fish in no time, plus a trolling motor so you can sneak up on your targets. Captain Jamie will provide all the rods, reels, tackle, and live bait. All you need to bring are a pair of polarized sunglasses, sunscreen, and any snacks or drinks you might need. We booked a trip with captain Jaime for two days in the beginning of our trip. My son and I had such a fun trip with Captain Jamie! He was great with my son, a patient teacher, and he navigated the area with ease. He even tried to hook us a shark! Early July 2026

Hi captain Jamie here. Anglers have enjoyed good fishing for red drum in the upper slot size and over in the last few weeks and should only get better with big spacing fish, "bulls" should follow along late August and into September. Flounder fishing is good now as well. People need to go ahead and book now for the 2 week season beginning Sept 1. At that time everyone goes home with a nice un!!! There is an early Morning speckled trout bite on topwater and then falls off but get great in the months to come and last all day. Please give me a shot at your next outing out of Wilmington and Wrightsville or Carolina beaches.

Strong winter fishing continues at wb and wilmington nc. The mighty cape fear for striped bass trout reds and more and great winter fishing for trout, reds and black drum. We fish all year around.

Mid November 2024

Reds trout and flounder is allways the norm while fall fisbing here at wrights ille beach. While speckled trout fishing makes up the lionshare of success large reds slot fish flounder blues inside as well as some king mackerel and false albacore in the near ocean waters. Should be doing more striped bass fishing as well as trout and reds through the wi ter!
