About Your Trip

Fish the legendary waters off the north tip of Vancouver Island with Captain Albert and his proudly Indigenous-owned and operated charter. Departing from Port Hardy, this experience blends world-class West Coast fishing with deep cultural roots in traditional Indigenous ocean territories.

These waters are renowned for Salmon (Chinook, Coho, Sockeye, Pink, and Chum), Halibut, Rockfish, Crab, and Shrimp. Depending on the season and your goals, you may troll for salmon along productive current lines or
bottom fish reefs and structure for hard-fighting halibut and rockfish using light or heavy tackle.

You’ll fish aboard a 26’ KingFisher sportfishing boat, built for West Coast conditions and accommodating up to 4 guests. The boat is equipped with downriggers, GPS, fishfinder, radar, live bait well, ice box, kitchen area, and a toilet for your comfort.

Rods, reels, and tackle are included. Kids are welcome aboard, making this a great option for families. Guests will need to purchase a valid local fishing license prior to the trip and should bring layered clothing, sunglasses, bottled water, and non-spray sunscreen. Alcohol is permitted in moderation (no hard liquor or glass bottles).

Whether you’re chasing trophy halibut, filling the cooler with salmon, or simply looking to experience these storied waters with knowledgeable local guides, this trip offers an authentic West Coast adventure rooted in tradition and respect for the ocean.
