Book your next trip with Captain Chad and find out what makes the fishing in Venice so unique.

Fishing around here will often see you targeting Yellowfin Tuna, Amberjack, Cobia, Mahi, Mangrove Snapper, Red Snapper, Blackfin Tuna, Wahoo, Grouper, and more, depending on conditions.

All trips are +fuel which means the customers are responsible for paying the fuel bill at the time of return to the dock. Average fuel bill is around $800-$1000 for tuna, it can vary on time of the year and the area we are fishing. Tuna tend to be farther out while snapper, cobia and grouper are closer in and usually a fuel bill around $500-$800.

On the day of your trip, you're likely to live bait or troll and bottom fish using heavy tackle.

Families who love fishing together will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Also, remember to bring snacks to maintain your energy throughout the trip!

You'll step aboard a 39' Contender center console with a capacity for 6 passengers with all the essentials.

You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures.

A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. It's customary to tip the Mate 15-20% to show your appreciation.

You might need to purchase a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off-limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.

Don't leave home without sunscreen (non-spray), bottled water, and sunglasses. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
