About Your Trip
Discover northern Tanzania on a 12-day guided safari that combines world-renowned national parks, cultural experiences, and comfortable accommodations at a relaxed pace. Designed for first-time visitors, families, couples, solo travelers, and private groups, this itinerary offers the opportunity to experience some of Tanzania's most celebrated landscapes while learning about the country's wildlife, history, and local cultures.
Your journey begins with your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, where you'll be met and transferred to your lodge
to settle in before the adventure begins. From there, you'll travel to Tarangire National Park, known for its diverse landscapes and abundant wildlife. You'll spend two days exploring the park with your guide, giving you time to experience different areas and habitats.
Next, you'll travel to Karatu, stopping in Mto wa Mbu along the way before visiting the Hadzabe and Datoga communities. This cultural experience offers insight into traditional ways of life and the customs that continue to shape these communities today.
The safari continues to the Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa's most recognizable natural landmarks, before heading into Serengeti National Park. Over several days, you'll explore different areas of the Serengeti on guided game drives. Depending on the season and wildlife movements, you may have the opportunity to observe the Great Migration along with a variety of other wildlife species that inhabit the park. During your stay, you may also choose to add an optional hot air balloon safari for a different perspective of the Serengeti.
Throughout the trip, you'll stay in luxury safari camps and lodges that combine modern comforts with convenient access to the surrounding wilderness. The itinerary is designed to balance time on safari with opportunities to relax and enjoy each destination without feeling rushed.
Your tour includes all national park fees, accommodations, ground transportation, domestic flights included in the itinerary, a local tour leader, experienced driver-guides, airport transfers, Flying Doctor emergency evacuation coverage, all taxes and VAT, 24/7 onsite support, and all meals, bottled water, and soft drinks throughout the tour. Gratuities for your driver-guides and lodge staff are also included.
International airfare, Tanzanian visa fees, travel and health insurance, the optional hot air balloon safari, gratuities for the trip leader, and personal expenses are not included.
