About Your Trip
Step aboard for a one-of-a-kind fishing adventure with Captain Dave, a lifelong angler who grew up exploring the winding creeks, tidal rivers, and vibrant marshes around Beaufort and Port Royal, South Carolina. With over 20 years of experience as a licensed and insured USCG Captain, Dave brings unmatched local knowledge to every trip. He knows these waters like the back of his hand and will expertly guide you through the region’s scenic backcountry to find
the fish that are biting best.
Trips with Captain Dave are all about customizing the day to suit your goals and experience level. Whether you're a seasoned angler or picking up a rod for the first time, he’ll make sure the outing fits your pace and interests. You'll fish from a 22’ Pathfinder Bay Boat—a comfortable, dependable vessel that’s perfect for navigating shallow flats and deeper channels alike. It can easily accommodate up to four anglers, making it great for families, small groups, or solo adventurers looking for a personalized experience.
Depending on the season and the tides, you could be hooking into hard-fighting Redfish, speckled Sea Trout, elusive Flounder, or chasing after Tarpon, Cobia, and Bull Redfish when they’re in season. Captain Dave times each trip to give you the best possible shot at action, using his deep understanding of the local patterns to put you on fish.
All skill levels are welcome, and every trip is designed to be both fun and rewarding. Captain Dave provides all the rods, reels, tackle, and fishing licenses you'll need—just bring along your hat, polarized sunglasses, sunscreen, food, drinks (but please, no bananas!), and non-marking boat shoes. Don’t forget a camera—you’ll want to capture the views and, hopefully, a few trophy-worthy catches.
At the end of the day, Captain Dave’s top priority is making sure you have a blast on the water. Whether you're after a relaxing day in the marsh or chasing big seasonal gamefish, you’re in good hands with a guide who’s passionate, professional, and deeply rooted in the Lowcountry way of life.
