Captain Jeff has more than a decade of experience fishing the Wilmington area. Originally from Annapolis, Maryland, he grew up fishing the Chesapeake Bay before expanding his experience to fly fishing, nearshore Atlantic waters, the Pacific Northwest, and the Caribbean.

While earning his engineering degree at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, Captain Jeff spent countless hours fishing the local waters. Today, he shares his knowledge of the Carolina coast with anglers visiting the area.

Spend the morning on the water with Captain Jeffery exploring the creeks, bays, backwaters, and marshes that make this stretch of coastline such a special place to fish. With a 7:00 AM departure, you'll get an early start and head into the marsh system, where miles of winding creeks and sheltered waters provide fishing opportunities year-round.

Captain Jeffery has spent years learning these waters and fishes throughout areas like Bald Head Island, Oak Island, Wrightsville Beach, and Topsail Island. Every trip is a little different, and he'll adjust the plan based on conditions and where the fish are holding that day.

You'll be fishing from an 18' skiff, a great boat for navigating the shallow water, creeks, and marshes that larger boats often can't reach.

Whether you're an experienced angler or have never picked up a fishing rod before, this trip is a good fit for all skill levels. Captain Jeffery is happy to work with beginners and experienced anglers alike.

Feel free to bring along your favorite snacks and drinks for the trip. Beer is welcome in cans.

If you're looking for a relaxed morning on the water with a captain who knows these local marshes well, Captain Jeffery would love to have you aboard.
