You’ll be casting swimbaits or crankbaits with your choice of spinning gear or baitcasting setups, all of which are fully provided and ready to roll. Want to go deeper? Captain Bob also offers trolling with deep-diving lures, anchored bait fishing, or even saltwater fly fishing using streamers—so no matter your preferred technique, there’s a strategy for you.

And when the season is right, you’ll have a chance to battle one of the river’s true dinosaurs: Sturgeon. These bottom-dwelling giants put up a serious fight, and targeting them adds an unforgettable element to your day on the water. Just make sure to grab a California Sportfishing License and a Sturgeon Report Card before your trip—both are required and easily available online or at any local tackle shop.
