Spend a day with Lake Fork fishing guide Marc Mitchell to top your personal best largemouth bass. Marc is excited to fish with beginners and experts alike and is happy to share tips and tricks for targeting giant Texas bass from casting to the hook set. All rods, reels, tackle, and bait are included and specific launch locations vary based on fishing conditions and proximity for you!
Marc Mitchell is the most experienced Lake Fork fishing guide you'll fish with. He began guiding Lake Fork fishing trips in 1982 and jumped into chasing giant largemouth bass with clients full time in 1986. Marc knows the entire lake inside and out from his time in the area that predates the lake itself- this gives him unique topographical knowledge of the lake's bottom structure.
To our knowledge, Marc is the most continuously active guide on Lake Fork. He himself has taken 58 largemouth bass over 10 pounds, and says he feels incredibly proud when anglers catch their personal best on his trips.
In all his years as a Lake Fork fishing guide, Marc's target has been the Trophy Bass that Lake Fork is famous for. If a Trophy Bass is what you are looking for, book a trip with Marc today!
Dear Marc, I just wanted you to know that thanks to you and your help, I landed a 10+ lb bass on Saturday. My partner and I also WON the Media bass tournament! There is no doubt we couldn't have done it without you! I caught 2 10 pound fish on 2 consecutive casts! I have owned property at Lake Fork and fished it for 20 years, and I have NEVER had the results I had using your advice and help. I want you to know I released both fish back in the lake. I am sure with your help, someone else will get the thrill of a lifetime just as I did! If I ever want to go on a guided trip again, you will be the only person I would go with. You explained what to do so precisely that I could not help but catch fish! You are truly "THE MAN" Sincerely, Leon Dudley
My children and I have been fishing with Marc for over two years now. He has been an excellent teacher from introducing us to fishing...all the way to catching the big one! If you really want to learn the ins and outs of fishing, different lure presentations, seasonal patterns or what to do when the bite is tough, then Marc is at the top of the list. He is great for both the beginner and the seasoned veteran who wants to improve their game. I am also convinced he will put us on that ShareLunker fish anytime now!!! We have thoroughly enjoyed our times with Marc and would highly recommend him to anyone...he is our lifetime friend!
Marc: I wanted to let you know how much I appreciated the way you took care of Evan and me on our trip. Your attention to details, your passion for the sport and the tireless way you conducted yourself is a testament to your professionalism. You have my deepest respect and gratitude. I have never met anyone who put more into their job and was more customer focused. Thanks again, Cheers, Jeffrey T. Kochelek
Stephen and I have fished in many states but our experience with you has to be the best. Your friendly and courteous attitude towards us was greatly appreciated. We were most impressed with your knowledge of Lake Fork. Never after two days of fishing have we caught 60 fish that averaged 5 pounds. Should you ever need to use us as a reference for your guiding service, please feel free to do so. Your knowledge of fishing is something you should be very proud of. Hope to see you next summer.
Dear Marc, Jeanie and I really enjoyed ourselves under your expert guidance. Jeanie was very excited to have caught the biggest fish of our group trip out of your boat. Please feel free to use our names or this letter as a recommendation for you services.
It was enjoyable fishing with you. Craig, John and I learned a lot of fishing techniques from you and had a great time. Thanks to you, I boated the most fish of our group trip and won all the money. I am sending you part of the winnings as a great big thank you. Thanks again for a memorable experience. I look forward to fishing with you again in the future.
I had an outing with Marc Mitchell and we had a great trip. Marc is a GREAT guide and even a better person. Last fall I wanted to bring some clients of mine to Lake Fork for some fun and fishing. Obviously a good guide is crucial for a successful group trip like this. Marc set us up for a awesome weekend. We stayed at Lake Fork Lodge (where we were treated like royalty) and fished our butt's off. Marc did a great job and got everyone on fish. A tough proposition considering we were spread out in 3 boats!!! Call Marc and book a trip today and demand to use his Viper XP Jig it is AWESOME!!
Marc, Pete and I really enjoyed our trip out with you. We both are looking forward to another trip with you. There are always people from my job that want to make a good trip to Fork, and I would be happy to recommend them to you. Thanks for a great trip. It was a pleasure!!
Joe and I fished with Marc Mitchell and the conditions were not very good for fishing. Marc predicted we would boat 10-20 fish. We boated 17 fish. We were pleased. The flood gates were open and he said he would be tough but he came through for us. When we would go into fish Marc would put his rod down to let us have the best crack at them. In addition to being good company, Marc is a excellent teacher. We had a friend who had caught one over 10 pounds with Marc the year before tell us we would enjoy our trip and we did. Thanks for a great time.
Dear Marc, Please accept this letter as a huge “THANK YOU” for the great time we had at Lake Fork. More than that, please accept this as an enormous “thanks” for the education. Both Frank and I were talking about how much we learned while under your tutelage on the water. Your enthusiasm and openness were contagious as they were charming. It was very easy for us to see why the man from Shreveport said you were the BEST! Aside from this letter we will do our best to show our appreciation of your efforts on our behalf by sharing our new knowledge with our fishing buddies and try and help spread the word about you to help fill your calendar. Thanks for a great trip and we will be back!!
I had tried many times to catch fish on plastic worms, with no success. My husband had tried to show me different methods also with no success. I saw Marc at a seminar at Bass Pro Shop and he was showing a method of worm fishing that would "guarantee" anyone to catch bass. My husband and I were going to Lake Fork a few weeks later on vacation. I called Marc and made plans for a guided trip with him. It was wonderful and he was able to teach me how to catch fish using a wacky worm. We were not able to catch any trophy fish, but we did catch a lot of fish. I learned so much from him and I am so grateful, because 2 days later I caught the largest fish ever for me. My fish was 24 1/2 inches and 9.67 lbs. with a girth of 18 inches. Now I actually enjoy fishing with a wacky worm. Pictures are attached. Thank you, Marc
Greg and I fished Lake Fork with pro guide Marc Mitchell and had a blast. We caught 40 + fish between 3-6 pounds. We were lucky because most boats at our lodge were only catching 1-5 fish per day. Some were using other guides and some were not. I have fished Fork on my on and with a guide and it seemed like completely different lakes. Give Marc a call he was able to help us catch fish when most people weren’t! Experience is one bait most of us don't have!
Marc, Thanks for the Lake Fork experience. Putting Todd on the 8 lbs, 4 oz lady culminated a great day. Your willingness to teach a bunch of pike fishermen Bass oriented techniques fit our wants perfectly. And your patience & tolerance of our flippin’ & hook setting was appreciated. I always thought those BASS fishermen were a little over-the-top on their hook sets for such a little fish (compared to pike). Now I better understand the urgency! Thanks Again!
Marc, had to run after the seminar, and you were fairly well snowed under anyway, but wanted to tell you I enjoyed this seminar more than any other I have ever attended. I live just north of the 2966 bridge on the west side of Coffee Creek. I will put your techniques to good use soon. Would also be interested in any seminar you give in the future. Sight fishing and Summer location are two that come to my mind. Thanks again and good luck in the future!
,Thanks again for the Great fishing trip!!!!! A note from Georgia - I really did learn quite a lot about fishing from you that will help me be a better angler. I am extremely happy that I was able to actually catch fish, I usually don’t catch many. I especially appreciate you spending the time to teach me how to throw the bait cast reel and without back-lashing, my husband and son are extremely glad about that too. Oh one more thing, I LOVE THOSE JIGS OF YOURS! From Randy – I too would like to thank you for an informative and very comfortable two days of fishing. We look forward to doing it again sometime. I am also glad you taught Georgia how to use a bait caster, but now have to buy her more rods & reels! Please forward our pictures to my e-mail. Thanks Again,
Marc, I just wanted to drop you a quick line and tell you what a great fishing trip I had! Sight fishing with you was the most fantastic bass fishing experience I have ever had. Seeing those huge bedding HAWGS and catching them was amazing. Your accommodations were wonderful and your military discount made an incredible experience even better. God Bless you and your family. You are the true professional and I am already planning my next trip. Thanks a million.
Marc, Thanks for the great trip-you are such a nice person and talented guide. - The Hooten's
Marc, just wanted to send a quick note to say thanks again for the great trip on Wednesday. Darlene and I had a blast. The opportunity to go fishing at Fork was great and catching my personal best was awesome. We are looking forward to our next chance to get back to Lake Fork. We will definitely be giving you a shout. Saw that you posted the pictures on the internet. Darlene wanted me to give you a hard time about her picture - it looks like she has a gold tooth. I'll be passing your contact info to some of my buddies who might be interested in a guide trip. Good fishing.
Hello Marc, Thank You very much for a wonderful day of fishing, and mounds of knowledge, for which I believe will make our trips from this point on, greatly improved on. You provided a first class service. Hope to see you when temperature lowers in fall or winter. Both boys were very grateful for the trip and your knowledge. Thank you again.
Marc, It has been several weeks since our return trip home and I wanted to take a minute to thank you and your wife for a truly great trip. We certainly enjoyed the fine country home settings, furnishings, and the added company of Precious, Smokey, & Pretty Girl. Despite the cold front, you worked very hard to find us good, quality fish and make a very memorable trip. We will definitely be back to fish with you for that elusive double digit bass. I may however, need to come back during some warmer weather - Diane is planning to come along to show me how it is done! Have a great summer and hope to see you all next year.
Marc, I wanted to thank you for a great two days fishing this April. This was our third trip and it was one to remember. You are so good with dad and I think he really enjoys the trips. He should, the 8 lb 8 oz bass was his biggest catch. I am becoming a better fisherman with all of your tips. The site fishing is fun and I am having success with it in North Carolina. Thank you and have a great summer. It is a great thing you are doing for the troops!!! If you need a recommendation, please have them contact me. Thank you,
Marc, Just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed our latest outing....my 2nd with you. Sight fishing is exciting and them HAWGs were a blast to catch. You taught me a new (and FUN!) way to fish. Sure will have to try it out next spring here in southern Alabama. I will coordinate my next visit to Lake Fork soon to take advantage of your military rates !
Marc, Wanted to drop you a line and thank you again for your services. My brother and I had a great time and you were very helpful in getting us on fish and catching them. Please do not hesitate on giving my name as a reference for I had an all around good experience and would not hesitate to recommend your services to anyone. I look forward to fishing with you in the future. Thanks Again.
