About Your Trip

If you're after fast-paced offshore action and the thrill of the chase, Captain Gabriel’s 8-hour Mahi Run-and-Gun trip delivers an unforgettable adventure on the open water. This isn’t your typical sit-and-wait kind of day—this is high-speed hunting for one of the ocean’s most vibrant and aggressive gamefish.

During the summer and early fall months, Mahi Mahi (also known as Dolphin) are often found under birds, floating debris, and weed lines. Captain Gabriel will have you
running and gunning between these hotspots, casting to surface-feeding fish that light up the water with electric colors and acrobatic jumps. It’s a visual, high-energy style of fishing that’s as fun as it is effective.

Once the Mahi bite slows down or conditions shift, Captain Gabriel will usually swing by a few deep drop spots on the way back in. That’s your shot at hooking into bottom-dwelling species like Black Grouper, Mutton Snapper, Yellowtail, Almaco Jacks, and the occasional Tripletail.

You’ll be fishing aboard a fully equipped 32’ center console featuring outriggers, radar, GPS, fishfinder, a live bait well, and an enclosed toilet for comfort during your full-day trip. Trolling, spinning, and bottom fishing are all on the table, and Captain Gabriel will tailor the techniques to maximize your chances based on the day’s conditions.

All rods, reels, lures, and bait are included—no extra charges or surprises. You’ll also be joined by a professional First Mate who’ll assist throughout the day. Mates work hard to keep things running smoothly, so a 10–20% tip is customary and appreciated.

Your fishing license is covered through the boat, and after the trip, the crew will clean and bag your catch so you're ready for the grill (or the local restaurant).

This Mahi run-and-gun trip is all about the chase, the variety, and the experience of fishing South Florida’s offshore waters at their most exciting.
