About Your Trip

If you're looking to experience the raw beauty and incredible inshore fishing that South Florida is known for, a day on the water with Captain Kyle out of Everglades City is a perfect choice. These 4, 6, and 8-hour trips take you deep into the heart of the Ten Thousand Islands and Everglades backcountry—where quiet mangrove creeks, shallow bays, and island edges come alive with some of the most exciting game fish in the region.

You’ll be fishing aboard a 22’ Pathfinder bay boat built for comfort and performance in skinny water. Powered by a 150 HP Yamaha engine and outfitted with modern electronics including GPS, a wireless trolling motor, and a livewell, this vessel gets you where the fish are—quietly and efficiently. There’s also an onboard ice box for your drinks and any keepers you haul in, making it a great ride for both serious anglers and families alike.

Captain Kyle brings a deep knowledge of these waters and tailors each trip to your goals and experience level. Whether you’re a seasoned angler or just starting out, you’ll be in good hands. Expect to target a variety of prized inshore and nearshore species, including Tarpon, Snook, Redfish, Goliath Grouper, Black Drum, and Spotted Seatrout. Depending on the season and conditions, you might also hook into Cobia or even Permit cruising the outer islands.

The techniques used on your trip will primarily focus on light tackle fishing, with live bait and artificial lures provided. From skipping baits under mangrove branches to drifting along deep cuts and oyster bars, there’s no shortage of opportunities to hook into something memorable. And for those looking for a truly epic fight, the backcountry is one of the best places to tangle with a Goliath Grouper or giant Tarpon.

All gear is included—rods, reels, tackle, live bait, and lures—as well as your fishing license. Captain Kyle also provides cold drinks on board and will clean and fillet your catch at the end of the day. Just bring your favorite food or snacks and get ready for a day full of bent rods, scenic views, and unforgettable moments.

Whether you’re planning a relaxing day in nature or chasing your next personal best, a trip out of Everglades City with Captain Kyle is an authentic Florida fishing adventure from start to finish.
