About Your Trip

There’s a fish with your name on it in Charleston and Captain Brian will help you catch it! With Captain Brian at the helm, you’ll benefit from years of knowledge and experience.

Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Black Drum, Flounder, Redfish, Rockfish, Sheepshead, Spotted Seatrout, and whatever else is biting. For these species, you’re likely to bottom fish using light tackle.

You can keep some of the fish you catch,
provided they’re within limits. Plus, you can have your catch cleaned. Your next meal doesn’t get any fresher than that!

Children are welcome, so feel free to make a family day out of it! If you don’t have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there’s one on board. Also, remember to bring snacks so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty belly!

Your adventure begins aboard a 22’ Sea Hunt bay boat that holds up to 4 passengers. It has all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Your captain will provide rods and reels, along with lures and Live bait.

You can’t go wrong when you bring sunblock (non-spray), sunglasses, and bottled water. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

About Your Guide

Brian M.

Independent Guide
Captain Brian grew up exploring Charleston’s Ashley River, where he fell in love with the rhythm of its tides and the wildlife that call it home. A career in law enforcement allowed Brian to protect and serve that which he loved, and he proudly patrolled the Charleston coastline for nearly a decade. He has conducted drug interdictions, search and rescue missions, and high value asset escorts on Lowcountry waters. He also served as a Marine Patrol instructor.

As a US
Coast Guard licensed captain, Brian has now decided to share his passion for the outdoors with you! Within and around the waterways of Charleston, he primarily targets the SC redfish population, and for this species, only practices catch and release. Harvesting opportunities may include trout, flounder, and sheepshead fish. You may also enjoy the thrill of hooking other native marine species, as encountered.
