About Your Trip

Climb aboard a 55’ Viking sportfishing yacht and join Captain John for an unforgettable offshore adventure in Palm Beach. Whether you’re looking for a laid-back half-day trip or a full day of serious sportfishing, this charter delivers both excitement and comfort. With over two decades of experience on the water, Captain John and First Mate Sean bring top-tier service, local insight, and expert-level fishing knowledge to every trip.

You’ll be targeting a wide range of
species depending on the season and conditions. From powerful predators like Bull Sharks, Amberjack, and Barracuda to high-speed pelagics like Blackfin Tuna, Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, and Sailfish—you never know what will show up on your line. Expect a mix of trolling, bottom fishing, spinning, jigging, and even kite fishing if the opportunity’s right. Whether you’re an experienced angler or bringing the family along for their first trip, the crew will tailor the experience to match your goals.

Trip Options

The 4-hour half-day trip is a great way to stay close to shore while still targeting quality fish. Perfect for families or groups looking for action and a shot at a nice catch for dinner without committing the whole day.

The 6-hour three-quarter trip strikes a balance between time and opportunity. You’ll have more room to explore techniques and chase a wider variety of species without spending the entire day on the water. It’s one of the most popular options and a customer favorite.

The 8-hour full-day trip is where this boat truly shines. With the time to mix up techniques—live baiting, trolling, kite fishing, and bottom drops—this trip gives you the best shot at big game and multiple species. Stewardess or catering service can be arranged with advance notice for an additional fee.

About the Boat

This 55’ Viking is powered by twin 1200HP MAN engines and cruises comfortably at up to 28 knots. It’s loaded with high-end electronics including Garmin radar, GPS, and CHIRP fishfinder. Outriggers and live bait wells help put fish in the boat, while three vacuum flush toilets, air conditioning, a kitchen, refrigerator, and a spacious interior keep everyone comfortable throughout the day.

What’s Included

Everything you need for the day is covered—rods, reels, tackle, and lures are all ready to go when you step aboard. Your fishing licenses are included under the vessel’s federal and state coverage, and any edible fish you catch will be cleaned and filleted at no extra charge (all billfish and sharks are released). First Mate Sean, who’s worked alongside Captain John for nearly 20 years, will be by your side throughout the day to rig, coach, and ensure your trip is both productive and fun. A 10–20% tip for the mate is customary and always appreciated.

Before You Arrive

You’ll want to bring sunblock (non-spray preferred), sunglasses, a hat, snacks, and drinks—alcohol is allowed in moderation, but please leave hard liquor and glass bottles at home. Child-sized life vests are available upon request, and kids are always welcome aboard.

Fishing just a mile or two off the beach—or heading 10 to 15 miles offshore when the Mahi are running—you’ll be in some of the most productive waters Florida has to offer.

Whether it’s your first time fishing or you’re chasing a trophy, Captain John is ready to help make it a trip to remember.
