Whether you're targeting tailing Redfish on shallow grass flats, hooking Snook along mangrove shorelines, or dropping bait for Snapper and Grouper on nearshore ledges, Captain Ken has you covered with the gear, the knowledge, and a smooth-riding boat built for the job.

You'll be fishing from a 22' Pathfinder 2200TRS Bay Boat, ideal for navigating Tampa Bay’s wide variety of waters—from skinny backcountry creeks to the deeper shipping channels. This boat comfortably fits up to 4 anglers, with tons of storage, a large fish box, and a separate cooler for your food and drinks. It drafts just 11 inches, giving you access to ultra-shallow water Redfish zones, but it can also handle 1–3 ft seas for those calm-day nearshore runs.

Captain Ken’s Pathfinder is loaded with the right equipment to quietly stalk and stay on fish. A Minn Kota trolling motor with GPS Spot-Lock allows precise positioning without ever dropping anchor, while the 8’ Power-Pole shallow water anchor gives you instant holding power with the push of a button. Add in the SafeFloor non-slip deck coating and a T-top for shade, and you've got a safe, comfortable ride for anglers of all skill levels.

Fishing with Captain Ken includes everything you need:

Tampa Bay is a 400-square-mile estuary filled with life. From grassy flats to limestone ledges in 50+ ft shipping channels, the variety of habitat means you could be targeting Redfish, Snook, Trout, Snapper, or even Grouper—sometimes all in the same day! Captain Ken loves sharing this fishery with new anglers and seasoned pros alike, and his goal is to not only put you on fish, but also help you become a better angler in the process.

His goal on every trip is to provide a fun, safe, and productive fishing experience. When he’s not running charters, Captain Ken is often on the water scouting new spots, refining techniques, and staying dialed in on the bite—fishing is truly his passion. After retiring from a career as a training instructor, he combined his love of teaching with his love of fishing, making him a natural guide for anglers of all skill levels. Whether it’s your first time holding a rod or you’re looking to sharpen your skills, Captain Ken enjoys sharing his knowledge and helping guests learn how to catch fish.

Everything is included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and anything else you might want on the trip.

You're all set! You don't need to buy a license for this trip.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 14 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 14 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

In the event of inclement weather, our guides will check the conditions and make the final call on whether its safe to go on the trip. If they decide the trip needs to be postponed, we'll work closely with you to reschedule or provide a credit for the full deposit, which can be applied to any of our trips in the US and beyond.

Each trip's price is determined by the guide and reflects all associated costs. A significant factor in pricing is often the type of boat and the corresponding fuel expenses. Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.

After booking your trip, we'll connect you directly with your guide to discuss additional details. In the meantime, our team is here to answer any questions via email, text, or phone.
