Honor the life of your loved one with a peaceful and meaningful Ashes at Sea memorial aboard Captain Eric's beautiful 45-foot sailing yacht. This private 2.5-hour experience offers family and friends the opportunity to gather together on the Pacific for a heartfelt farewell in a serene, natural setting.

Before the ceremony, Captain Eric will work with you to discuss your group's needs and ensure every detail is handled with care and respect. Family members are welcome to attend, and the experience is designed to provide a comfortable, unhurried environment for remembrance and reflection.

Your journey typically begins with a scenic cruise a few miles offshore. Depending on the conditions, the yacht may sail for part of the trip, creating a quiet and peaceful atmosphere as you make your way to the memorial location. When it's time for the ceremony, the boat slows to a gentle pace, often with the engine turned off and the sails carrying you softly across the water while ashes are scattered.

Families are encouraged to bring flowers or flower petals to include as part of the service. Along the way, there's often an opportunity to spot dolphins, whales, sea lions, and other marine wildlife, adding a beautiful and memorable element to an already meaningful occasion.

To make your time together as comfortable as possible, a complimentary charcuterie board with cheeses, crackers, and grapes is provided, along with LaCroix sparkling water. Champagne is available upon request, or you're welcome to bring your own if you'd prefer. Professional photography and video services are also available as an optional add-on to help preserve the memories of this special tribute.

Everything is included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and anything else you might want on the trip.
We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).
Cancel for free up to 7 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 7 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.
In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

Each trip's price is determined by the guide and reflects all associated costs. A significant factor in pricing is often the type of boat and the corresponding fuel expenses. Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
