About Your Trip

Explore the calm backwater lagoons with Captain Clery on a trip that's designed for anglers of all skill levels. Whether it's your first time fishing or you've spent years on the water, Captain Clery will tailor the day to your group's experience level and the conditions.

Captain Clery is part of a team of nine full-time captains operating five fully rigged boats and fishing these waters year-round. Their time on the water gives them a
deep understanding of the local fishery, and Captain Clery will use that knowledge to give you the best opportunity to locate fish throughout the trip.

You'll be fishing from a 24' bay boat that's well suited for exploring the shallow backcountry. The boat is equipped with a livewell to keep bait fresh and an open casting platform that gives everyone plenty of room to fish comfortably. Because you'll be fishing in protected backwater lagoons, the water stays calm, making this a great option for anyone who prefers sheltered conditions.

Depending on the season, you'll be targeting Tarpon, Snook, Jack Crevalle, Barracuda, and other inshore species using spinning tackle or fly gear. Every captain has their own approach to pursuing the legendary Silver King, and Captain Clery is happy to share the techniques and local knowledge he's developed over years of fishing these waters.

Everything you need for fishing is included, so all you have to do is show up ready to fish. We recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and anything else you'd like to have with you for the day.

With morning, afternoon, and evening departures available, you can choose the trip that best fits your schedule. Captain Clery looks forward to welcoming you aboard and showing you around this unique backwater fishery.
