About Your Trip

Join Captain Joe for a productive day trolling the waters of Lake Ontario, targeting some of the most sought-after freshwater species in the region. With over 25 years of experience and a strong track record in local tournaments, he knows how to stay on fish and adjust to conditions throughout the season.

Depending on the time of year, you’ll be targeting a mix of Chinook and Coho salmon, brown trout, lake trout, and steelhead. Each
species has its peak windows, and Captain Joe will tailor the plan to give you the best shot at a consistent bite.

The Experience

These trips focus on trolling, a proven method on Lake Ontario that keeps lines in the water and maximizes your chances throughout the day. Whether you’re joining for a shorter afternoon trip or a full day starting early in the morning, the goal is simple—cover water, find active fish, and keep rods bending.

Trips are available in 4, 6, and 8-hour options, giving you flexibility based on your schedule and how much time you want on the water.

What’s Included

All bait, tackle, rods, reels, and lures are provided, along with fish cleaning at the end of the trip. You’ll be fishing from a well-equipped 30’ sportfishing boat with modern electronics, downriggers, and a restroom on board for comfort throughout the day.

Good to Know

You’ll need a valid New York fishing license before the trip. Be sure to bring food, drinks, and weather-appropriate clothing, as conditions can change quickly on the lake. Sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray), and soft-soled shoes are recommended.

Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but avoid glass bottles and hard liquor. If you plan to keep fish, bringing a cooler with ice is a good idea.

Families are welcome, and kids are encouraged to join. If you need a child-sized life vest, just check ahead of time.

With a straightforward approach, quality gear, and years of experience on these waters, Captain Joe keeps things focused on what matters—putting you on fish and making it an enjoyable day from start to finish.
