About Your Trip

Get out on the waters surrounding New York City and experience one of the Northeast’s most underrated fisheries with Captain Steve. From the Hudson and East Rivers to Raritan Bay, Jamaica Bay, the New York Bight, and nearby offshore structure, these trips give anglers access to a huge variety of productive water just outside the city skyline.

Trips are available in both 4-hour morning and afternoon formats as well as extended 5-hour trips, giving anglers
the flexibility to choose between a quick action-packed outing or more time covering multiple areas and targeting larger fish.

Depending on the season and conditions, you may target Striped Bass, Bluefish, Flounder, Cod, Black Seabass, Tautog, and Little Tunny (False Albacore) using a variety of techniques including trolling, bottom fishing, spinning, jigging, popping, and light tackle fishing.

The shorter 4-hour trips are perfect for families, beginners, or anglers looking to experience the fishery around New York Harbor and nearby waters without committing to a full day. The 5-hour trips allow additional time to explore more structure, deeper water, and seasonal offshore opportunities up to 15 miles out.

You’ll fish aboard a 25’ Parker saltwater fishing boat powered by a Yamaha 225 HP engine with room for up to 5 anglers. The boat is equipped with GPS, fishfinder, live bait well, portable toilet, and ice box for a comfortable and productive day on the water.

All rods, reels, tackle, bait, lures, fish cleaning, snacks, bottled water, and first mate assistance are included with the trip. Live bait is prepared ahead of time so you can spend more time fishing once aboard.

Trips are family-friendly with life vests available for younger anglers. Guests are encouraged to bring weather-appropriate clothing, sunglasses, sunscreen, and a camera for the day.

Whether you’re chasing trophy Striped Bass around New York Harbor or looking to bend rods on a mixed-bag Northeast trip, Captain Steve and crew focus on creating a productive, approachable, and memorable experience on the water.
