About Your Trip

Get out on the inshore waters surrounding Fire Island for a hands-on fishing trip targeting some of the Northeast’s most popular saltwater species. Running from April through mid-December, these trips focus on productive bays, flats, inlets, channels, and nearshore structure throughout the Fire Island region.

Trips are available in both 4-hour and 8-hour formats for groups of up to 6 anglers, giving you the flexibility to choose between a quick inshore outing or a full
day covering more water and targeting multiple species.

Depending on the season and conditions, potential catches include Fluke (Flounder), Striped Bass, Bluefish, Weakfish, Porgies, Black Seabass, and migratory Sharks. Fishing styles may vary throughout the day and can include light tackle fishing, spinning, jigging, popping, bottom fishing, and drift fishing depending on what’s producing best.

The boat is equipped with Simrad GPS, fishfinder, radar, live bait wells, and multiple fish holds to keep the day productive and comfortable.

All rods, reels, tackle, bait, ice, and fish cleaning are included. At the end of the trip, all legal catches will be filleted and bagged for you to take home.

Guests are welcome to bring food, drinks, beer, or wine onboard, though hard liquor is prohibited. Whether you’re looking to bend rods on light tackle, fill the cooler with Fluke and Seabass, or chase Stripers around the bays and inlets, this trip is built around experiencing the best of Fire Island inshore fishing.

Captain Steve is a lifelong Long Island angler who grew up fishing the Great South Bay and the Atlantic waters surrounding Fire Island with friends and family. Over the last two decades, he has competitively fished the area’s inshore, coastal, and offshore waters, developing a deep understanding of the local fisheries and seasonal patterns.

After years of taking friends and family fishing and watching the excitement that came with catching trophy fish, Steve decided to turn that passion into guiding
professionally. For the past several seasons, he has focused on providing anglers with a fun, productive, and local fishing experience centered around both great fishing and time on the water.

Captain Steve holds a USCG Master 50 Ton License along with degrees from LIU Post and Hofstra University, bringing both professionalism and a teaching mindset to every trip.

Whether conditions call for live bait, topwater plugging, trolling, or other techniques, Captain Steve adjusts each trip to give anglers the best opportunity possible while creating lasting memories along the way.
