About Your Trip

Experience the beautiful shallow reef systems of the Florida Keys on a 3–8 hour private reef fishing trip customized to your group. Trips conveniently run from Key Largo, Islamorada, and Homestead, with quick access to productive patch reefs and reef edge structure in 10–50 feet of crystal-clear water where the action starts fast. Depending on the season and conditions, we target Yellowtail Snapper, Mangrove Snapper, Mutton Snapper, Grouper, Hogfish, Yellow Jack, Permit, Kingfish, African Pompano, Cero Mackerel, Barracuda, Goliath Grouper, Sharks and other popular reef species found throughout the Upper Keys region.

Trips are run on light tackle using a variety of productive techniques including live bait fishing, chum-balling, drifting, freelining, jigging, and bottom fishing. Whether you want steady action for the family, fresh fish for dinner, or a more technical fishing experience, each trip can be tailored to your experience level and goals for the day.

Your trip includes all fishing licenses, rods, reels, tackle, bait, and ice. Families and anglers of all skill levels are welcome. We can focus on keeping fish to take home, maximizing action for kids and beginners, or targeting larger snapper and grouper depending on the conditions and your preferences.

What separates us is a focused local approach to fishing the productive Key Largo reef systems without wasting time on long offshore runs. These trips are designed to maximize fishing time while giving clients an authentic Florida Keys reef fishing experience in some of the clearest and most beautiful water in the country. And don’t worry, if it’s too windy the Capt has plenty of inshore and Backcountry spots nearby to keep you in the action and ensure that you have a memorable experience to look back on.

Born and raised in the Florida Keys, Captain Kevin brings a lifetime of on-the-water experience to every trip. What started as a passion for fishing these waters evolved into a disciplined, results-driven approach built on understanding tides, seasonal patterns, and real-time conditions across the Upper Keys inshore, reef, backcountry, and offshore fisheries.

Specializing in inshore and reef fishing—with access to the Everglades backcountry and nearby wrecks—Captain Kevin positions clients for success with a focused, no-wasted-time approach. Target species include Snook,
Tarpon, Permit, Bonefish, Mangrove Snapper, Yellowtail Snapper, Mutton Snapper, Grouper, and seasonal offshore fish like Mahi, Tuna, and Wahoo. From technical sight-fishing on the flats to productive reef and structure fishing, every trip is tailored to the client's goals and experience level.

Beyond fishing, Capt Kevin also offers private sandbar trips, remote beach days, and eco tours through the Everglades and surrounding reef systems. These experiences highlight some of the most breathtaking and untouched scenery the Florida Keys has to offer, ideal for families, couples, and private groups looking for a more relaxed and memorable day on the water.

How did you get started guiding?
I’m really just a local backwater boy that got so hooked on fishing and exploring the fisheries that I had to start guiding to support the habit. 😂 In all seriousness, I really just enjoy sharing this experience called “life”with people and when you finally get someone out here and tight on that fish of a lifetime, it’s amazing how you watch them start LIVING!
What makes you different from other guides?
I do it all - Growing up in the Upper Keys with the Reef/Offshore Game, Flamingo and Biscayne Bay in our backyard, we’re privileged to have it all right here at our finger tips. I’ve obsessed about learning all I could about this giant playground since I was a kid. Still eager as ever to go out and learn more everyday! Come out with me! I’ll share that experience with you and we’ll have a damn good time while we’re at it!
