These waters are known for Jack Crevalle, Black Drum, Cobia, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Bluefish, Flounder, Redfish, Spotted Seatrout, Tarpon, Mangrove Snapper, and more – with any luck, they'll make your reel scream. For these species, you're likely to drift and bottom fish using light tackle. Capt.
Alex also offers fly fishing, but you may need to bring your own fly gear. For the more adventurous among you, there's spearfishing.

If you're traveling with the family, you will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. You're welcome to bring snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty stomach!

You'll be dropping lines from a 23' Carolina Skiff Sea Chaser bay boat with space for 3 passengers. It has everything you need for a productive day on the water. Capt. Alex will supply rods and reels for you, as well as lures. Live bait is on offer, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.

The charter boat covers your fishing license, just show up ready for some fishing! Keep in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain.

It's always wise to bring sunglasses, and sunblock (non-spray). There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be some light snacks included on board.

Give yourself something to look forward to and book a trip with Isle of Palm Charters!
