There are very few places on earth that feel as remote and extraordinary as the Dry Tortugas, and JP's team delivers an experience worthy of the destination.

Seventy miles west of Key West, accessible only by boat or seaplane, the Dry Tortugas is one of the most breathtaking and seldom-visited corners of the entire United States. The passage out is an experience in itself, with open water stretching in every direction and the Florida Keys fading behind you as the Gulf of America opens up ahead. When the islands finally come into view, the scene is unlike anything else: Fort Jefferson rising improbably from the sea, its massive 19th-century brick walls encircled by a moat and surrounded by water so clear and turquoise it barely looks real. The coral reefs surrounding Garden Key are among the finest snorkeling in North America, teeming with parrotfish, snappers, and sea turtles drifting through shallow, sun-lit water. The beaches are powdery, the skies are enormous, and the sense of solitude out here is something people travel from around the world to find. JP's team makes the journey there and back as refined as the destination itself.

Aboard the 37' Axopar Pilothouse, every comfort has been considered for a passage of this kind. The enclosed air-conditioned cabin makes the open-water crossing easy and enjoyable for every member of the group, while the oversized sunpad is the place to be once you're anchored in the calm waters around the islands. Families are fully taken care of, with a private stateroom for little ones to rest, children's and infant life jackets on board, a full bathroom, cold storage, and a swim ladder that gets plenty of use out here. The crew manages every detail from departure to return.

Everything Else to Know

What to Bring: Drinks, Food, Snacks (Catering Available upon request), Snorkel Gear, Sunscreen, Towels.
This trip is managed by an outfitter. Jp will be your point of contact and you will go out with one of their guides.
We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).
Cancel for free up to 6 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 6 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.
In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

Once you've paid your deposit at checkout, we'll send you a QR Code boarding pass. Just show your guide your boarding pass on the day of the trip, they'll scan it, the remaining balance will transfer automatically, and you'll be all set to get out there. Just make sure you bring a cash tip for the guide!
In the event of inclement weather, our guides will check the conditions and make the final call on whether its safe to go on the trip. If they decide the trip needs to be postponed, we'll work closely with you to reschedule or provide a credit for the full deposit, which can be applied to any of our trips in the US and beyond.
Each trip's price is determined by the guide and reflects all associated costs. A significant factor in pricing is often the type of boat and the corresponding fuel expenses. Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
After booking your trip, we'll connect you directly with your guide to discuss additional details. In the meantime, our team is here to answer any questions via email, text, or phone.
