About Your Trip

Explore the productive nearshore waters of Florida's Nature Coast with Captain Jacob on a half or full-day fishing trip. Designed for groups of up to 4 anglers, these trips give you the chance to fish the unique limestone structure, shallow ledges, holes, reefs, and wrecks found within 9 miles of shore.

Depending on the season and conditions, you'll be targeting species like Cobia, Permit, Snook, Gag Grouper, Spanish Mackerel, Pompano, and Flounder. Captain Jacob will adjust the approach based on what's working, with opportunities to bottom fish, drift, troll, or cast using light and heavy tackle.

Half-day trips are a great way to get out and experience the Nature Coast fishery, while the 8-hour full day gives you additional time to cover water, explore different areas, and switch up techniques throughout the trip.

You'll fish aboard a 24' Shoalwater powered by a 250HP Mercury and equipped with GPS, fishfinder, live bait well, wireless trolling motor, ice box, and snorkeling equipment. Rods, reels, tackle, lures, live bait, and fishing licenses are all provided.

Captain Jacob will keep plenty of bottled water aboard, with cooler space available for any additional drinks you'd like to bring. At the end of your trip, he'll clean, fillet, and bag your catch for you to take home.

Full-day trips generally run from 8 AM to 4 PM, though departure times are flexible and may range from approximately 7–9 AM depending on weather, conditions, and your group's needs.

Whether you're looking for a shorter outing or want to dedicate a full day to fishing the reefs, wrecks, ledges, and limestone structure of the Nature Coast, Captain Jacob will work to make the most of your time.

You're all set! You don't need to buy a license for this trip.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 3 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 3 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

Each trip's price is determined by the guide and reflects all associated costs. A significant factor in pricing is often the type of boat and the corresponding fuel expenses. Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
