About Your Trip

Head out with Captain Jack to hook into some monster Red Drum and Cobia on the Chesapeake Bay. Captain Jack has grown up on these waters and no fish is safe (except the small ones!) after he cranks up his engine to head out.

Captain Jack specializes in sight fishing in the lower Chesapeake Bay and the nearshore waters of the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Virginia Beach. Though his primary targets are Cobia
and Red Drum, there are a plethora of other species like spadefish, Spanish mackerel, and black drum that are also available when the conditions do not permit sight fishing. Aside from the breeder-sized Red Drum, all of the fish you'll be targeting make great table fare and will be cleaned and ready to prepare once back at the dock!

He knows all the best honey holes for getting into giant Bull Reds, the best spots to post up to catch a cruising Cobia, and the best methods for getting them on the end of your line and into the boat. On your trip, Captain Jack will share all his knowledge, tips, and tricks with you so you can catch one of these giants from start to finish by yourself.

You will meet up with Captain Jack at the Porch on Long Creek where his boat will be fully loaded with all the rods, reels, tackle, bait, and fishing licenses you could possibly need for an epic day out on the water! This way all you need to bring is your sun protection, Capt. Jack will take care of the rest.
