On Destin bay fishing trips with Captain Jonathan, you will journey through the calm waters of the Choctawhatchee Bay and intercoastal waterway fishing over grass flats, oyster bars, around bridges, jetties, and docks in search of Redfish and Speckle Trout on light tackle spinning gear. About Your Trip

On Destin bay fishing trips with Captain Jonathan, you will journey through the calm waters of the Choctawhatchee Bay and intercoastal waterway fishing over grass flats, oyster bars, around bridges, jetties, and docks in search of Redfish and Speckle Trout on light tackle spinning gear.

You can also target Bluefish, Mangrove Snapper, and Tarpon in the inshores this time of year. Other species to expect to catch in the summer months include Spanish Mackerel, Sheepshead, Blue Fish, Lady Fish "Skipjacks", Jack Crevalle, and Black Drum. Aboard with Captain Jonathan, you will primarily use live bait fishing tactics but he can accommodate artificial fishing upon request for more avid anglers.

Captain Jonathan will meet you at the dock with a fully loaded 22' Cape Horn bay boat. Powered by a 250 HP Evinrude engine, this sturdy vessel will have no problem maneuvering the inshore Destin waters. She's equipped with a GPS, Fishfinder, a Live Bait Well, Multimedia System, Wireless Trolling Motor, and an Ice Box to store your catches. Captain Jonathon will even clean any keepers you bring in at the dock.

Captain Jonathan will provide all Rods, Reels, Tackle, Bait and Fishing licenses you will need for a wonderful fall day out on the water. All you need to bring is your weather-appropriate gear and favorite snacks and drinks. Captain Jonathan will take care of the rest to ensure you have an outstanding day out on the water!
