About Your Trip

Head out of Big Pine Key to explore the Offshore waters and Reefs with Captain Mark. He will help you target a variety of Jacks, Dolphin (Mahi), just to name a few! He will provide all the finest gear from Penn and Shimano but also encourages you to bring your own gear if you'd like to land a big one on your own supply. All you'll need to bring is hat, Sunscreen, non-marking shoes, and a good pair of sunglasses … (Captain Mark asks that you please Do Not bring Spray Sunblock)

You'll be heading out aboard his 21ft Mako which is a super fun boat to explore the open water in. These trips can however be dependent on the weather. If there is some serious chop, he may recommend staying closer to shore to target Snapper, Grouper, and others! Some days the weather is not ideal for the scheduled trip, but good for another type of fishing. Captain Marks goal is to provide the most enjoyable day on the water possible.

Captain Mark's time in the Florida Keys was some 40 years ago, in 1975. Skeletons of old bridges that he and his buddies traveled still loom off one side or the other of the New Bridges. They connect the Keys and end at Key West, the Southern Most Point in the United States.

He didn’t have the same appreciation for the Keys back then as he has today. The water & water sports like snorkeling and kayaking, the tropical beauty,
the smells, warm breezes, great food (and drink), the music, the laid back atmosphere, and best of all “The Saltwater Fishing”. Not to mention, you're able to enjoy it all in the good ol’ USA without the hassle of international travel!

He's fished on Charters, with friends and acquired his own boat(s) where he heads out front (The Ocean Side) or out back (The Gulf Side) for some of the best Saltwater Fishing anywhere on the planet. He targets numerous species like Cobia, Permit, Trout, Snappers, Grouper, Hogfish, Sharks, Mackerel, Mahi Mahi, and Porgies, just to name a few.

After sharing Florida Keys experiences with friends and clients that have fished & hunted with him the past thirty plus years, it was obvious to Captain Mark that there’s a lot of passion and interest for what The Keys have to offer.

With the help and support of his Kansas, Nebraska, Florida Keys Partner, Girl and Best Friend Sandi, he decided to set up a charter fishing service based on Big Pine Key, Florida. With his newly acquired Captains License, he's all set to take you on an exciting fishing adventure!

Mark was a terrific captain. He knew exactly where the fish were and had us pulling up fun (and delicious) fish all morning. I’d highly recommend. Good with children!
