Based in Pensacola, near the Naval Air Station (NAS), Captain Jake and his father-son-run Charter business are the perfect choice for anyone looking for an amazing fishing experience in the Gulf of Mexico.

Their charter company also owns Southwind Marina which is five minutes from NAS. They love the military, and that is why they offer a $100 special of a military 6-hour trip. Give us a call for details if you'd like to take advantage!

Captain Jake's main focus for his business is to ensure a safe and fun trip while being sure you are wearing your arms out reeling up fish!

Both he and his father Rick are USCG-approved and the boats are both up to par with USCG standards and laws. They are professionals at catering their fishing experiences to all ranges of skill levels, so whether you're a professional angler or this is your first time out on the water, Captain Jake will make sure you have an awesome experience.

Captain Rick has lived in Pensacola his entire life. This makes him, as hobbyist and professional, anglers very knowledgeable and confident in knowing where fish will be and when they will be there. Captain Rick also is a retired Pensacola Deputy and served in the local police department for 25 years.

Our main focus as a business is to ensure a safe and fun trip while being sure we are wearing arms out from reeling up fish.

Captain Rick is USCG-approved and the boats are both up to par with USCG standards and laws. Our fishing experience is tailored for all ranges of skill levels, ranging from those who have never fished to those who are professional anglers.

You're all set! You don't need to buy a license for this trip.

This trip is managed by an outfitter. Jake will be your point of contact and you will go out with one of their guides.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 7 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 7 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

Our trip with Captain Rick and his first rate deckhand Logan was fantastic. They put us on multiple fish of different types and we tried different methods, some trolling, a lot of bottom fishing and some deep water with electric reels. We caught a lot of large triggerfish, three King mackerels and enough Mingo (vermillion) snapper that we had far too much fish to eat over the next two days. The boat was fantastic, offering the six of us more than enough space to spread out and all fish at once, and Logan was knowledgeable and efficient at everything. I really enjoyed catching a small shark and we had a larger one steal some of our fish to add a little excitement. Near the end of the day we had a large amberjack up to the boat but unfortunately he got off. We played with a few barracuda as well, caught a few snapper and small groupers that we couldn't keep and in between spots, we could chat and I enjoyed learning about the local waters and the trade. I personally caught 22 fish and my son got 21 so we were busy. The weather was near perfect and Rick adeptly steered us around a small storm, where we got to see a waterspout. I would highly recommend Gulf Bay - we had a blast and really enjoyed getting to learn from a couple of true professionals. Thank you Captain Rick, thank you Logan!

If you want to catch fish go to capt Rick plain and simple. He put us on fish left and right. We came for red snapper but cap wasn't just gonna let us catch snapper. We limited out on snapper with in the first hour. Then he got us hooked up on Mingo, whitey, Mai Mahi, goggle eye. We had more fish then we know what to do with.
