About Your Trip

If you're looking for that perfect combination of fish-fighting action, lovely scenery, and calm waters, then this trip is meant for you. The Neuse, Bay, and Pamlico Rivers are all home to prizewinning fish, whether you're chasing a personal best Redfish or a variety of other species, including Speckled Trout, Flounder, Striped Bass, Black Drum, Spanish Mackerel, Bluefish, Sheepshead, Cobia, and more.

Captain Joe specializes in light tackle fishing, and you can expect to put
several different techniques to the test, including topwater retrieves, jigging, and live-baiting. These inshore North Carolina waters feature a range of environments, from shallow flats to underwater structure, and Captain Joe will give you unique tips and methods for each.

On the day of the trip, you'll get off the dock aboard Captain Joe's 22' Pathfinder center console. She's built to cut through choppy waves with ease, and has enough room for three people to relax comfortably. Plus, she's powered by a 200 HP Yamaha VMax engine, so you'll be on the fish in no time. She's the ideal type of boat for fishing these waters, including shallower areas where certain species like to congregate. In addition, she's got all of the electronics you could want, from fishfinders to GPS and more. Bring along a pair of polarized sunglasses, a hat, proper clothing, and sunscreen to maximize your experience on the water!
