About Your Trip

Scalloping is one of the best family activities during summers in Florida. Splashing through the water and diving for the hidden snacks is like a marine Easter Egg Hunt, which is fun for everyone. Captain Mike will take you on a 4 hour adventure around the mouth of the Crystal River, where Scallops hide among the sea grass in the shallow flats. You can take home bagfuls of the savory shellfish for you and your family to enjoy!

Captain Mike’s 24’ Carolina Skiff is the perfect vessel for Scalloping. It can fit up to 6 guests, and the 150hp Mercury engine makes for a smooth ride amongst the grassy flats. At any point, you can grab the snorkeling equipment (provided by the captain) and hop into the warm water to search the grass for Scallops!

Captain Mike will also provide you with bags so you can stock up with more scallops than you can carry! All you need to bring are drinks, snacks, and appropriate clothing. You should also bring a towel to dry off after scavenging the sea floor. This trip is perfect for a family vacation, and should be a blast!

You're all set! You don't need to buy a license for this trip.
We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).
Cancel for free up to 3 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 3 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.
In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
