About Your Trip

If you’re looking to pack serious fishing action into a shorter trip, this nearshore adventure with Captain Sam delivers the best of both worlds. Running out of either Fort Pierce or Sebastian Inlet, you’ll explore Florida’s rich Atlantic waters just inside the 3-nautical-mile zone, where fish stack up around beaches, jetties, and bait-filled current lines.

Whether you’re in the mood for light-tackle fun, big runs, or sight-casting in skinny water, Sam’s ready to tailor the
day to your crew and the bite. You could hook into hard-fighting Jack Crevalle, chase down rolling Tarpon, or pitch live bait to Snook and Redfish near structure. When conditions are right, you might slide out and tangle with Permit, Kingfish, or other nearshore bruisers cruising the edge.

You'll be fishing from a sleek and versatile 27’ Pathfinder 2700 Open bay boat, rigged for both inshore agility and nearshore confidence. Powered by a strong outboard and equipped with state-of-the-art electronics, a livewell, and Bluetooth sound system, this ride offers a smooth and dry run with plenty of space for up to 5 anglers.

Choose from 5 to 8-hour trips, starting at 7:00 AM, and enjoy a day that’s equal parts relaxed and action-packed. Sam is flexible with departure location, so whether you’re closer to Fort Pierce or Sebastian, he’ll meet you where the fish are.

All rods, reels, and tackle are included, and live bait is provided. Once you’re back at the dock, Sam will clean your catch so you can head home with fresh fillets. Feel free to bring your favorite snacks, drinks, and a cold beer or two (just keep the glass at home), and don’t forget to queue up your go-to playlist—Bluetooth tunes are welcome onboard.

Perfect for beginners, experienced anglers, and families alike, this trip delivers high-action fishing with coastal convenience—all with one of the most dialed-in guides on Florida’s east coast.

Independent Guide 22 years of exp.
No one knows for sure, but it’s possible that Sam was born on the water. From the moment he could hold a fishing pole or carry a surfboard, he was out there. At age 10, he got his hands on some poles and a Zodiac to explore the nooks and crannies of the Indian River Lagoon, and hasn't looked back since.

To say Sam understands the local fishing spots is an understatement. He lives and breathes Florida fish and wildlife
and is attuned to its subtle rhythms: the tides, the weather, the seasons, the habits, the cycles. He’s been learning from them for nearly three decades. You won’t just catch fish with Sam, you’ll immerse yourself in the entire Florida experience and begin to understand how this fascinating ecosystem works together to present such incredible opportunities for adventure.

What’s more, Sam’s just a good, fun guy to be around. Even when he’s picking you up before the sun rises at 5:30am, he’s cracking jokes and has a smile on his face. He loves getting to know new people, but he also appreciates the beauty of a still, quiet morning on the water. Pessimists never catch fish, so Sam doesn’t plan on becoming one anytime soon.
