About Your Trip

START TIME DISCLAIMER: 4hr trip start at 8am and 12pm. 6hr trips start at 8am and 1pm. 8hr trips start at 8am only! The all-day trip is my favorite trip, it gives us a lot of time to try a bunch of different tactics to make the day as productive as possible. We can run offshore and look for birds and debris chasing mahi mahi, troll on the edge of the reef for wahoo sailfish and tuna, drop on wrecks for snappers and groupers. I usually will talk to the customers and put a game plan together to make there fishing experience as memorable as possible.

In the 3/4 day trip, it allows us to do more than the half day trip. That includes trolling, live bait, kite fishing, bottom fishing, deep dropping, or shark fishing. Our fishery in south Florida changes throughout the year so we can run offshore for mahi or bottom fish for snappers or groupers. We usually like to talk to the customers about what they would like to target and what is in season and make a game plan from that. We like to fish hard and have fun doing it!

In our half day trips depending on time of year or target species. We will troll, live bait, bottom fish, shark fish, or Kite fish. We will usually stay within 2 miles of the beach where most of the bait fish and bottom fish are. But we usually like to target whatever fish that are biting that time of year or whatever the customer would like to catch.

Born and raised in South Florida, I grew up fishing these water since I was a little kid and have been doing it as a job since I was a teenager. I have charter fished for 15 years and spend 5 years traveling the world fishing on privately owned sport fishing boats. I enjoy taking beginners and experienced anglers my goal is always to have fun and fish as hard as possible. I’m very calm and enjoy teaching people about fishing and the ocean. My boat is a 28 foot center console, perfect fishing machine for south Florida. From our dock it takes 15 minutes to be to the fishing grounds. On a typical day I usually get the customers on the boat start talking to them about the fishing and tactics we have been using and put a game plan together to give them the most enjoyable experience. We can fish here in Fort Lauderdale year round and the fishing is constantly changing so putting a solid game plan together makes the world of difference.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel up to 1 day before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

Taylor was amazing! He knew exactly what he was doing; the spots to go to, which bait to use to catch certain fish, and how to set up each individual line. He also knew when each line would be hooked or something was biting, even when we couldn’t see it. We ended up with one big catch that broke the line as we spent what felt like hours fighting it. Even though we didn’t end up reeling anything in, it was still a great experience out on the water, talking about a range of topics with Taylor. We would definitely come back and book with Taylor and Wicked Cuda again!
