This trip is managed by an outfitter. Tyler will be your point of contact and you will go out with one of their guides.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

The deposit for this trip is non-refundable except for weather-related cancellations. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

My trip with Tyler did not happen. Tyler did not want to have a phone conversation on Friday night, instead asking for full payment up front, prior to boarding the boat. I have been supporting Florida captains for over thirty years. This 4-hour fishing trip with "Tyler" has been absolutely the worst overall experience I have ever had with a fishing guide. My trip with Tyler did not happen. Tyler did not want to have a phone conversation on Friday night, instead asking for full payment up front, prior to boarding the boat. When my party arrived at the marina we were greeted by the individuals that told me Tyler was not available. The live bait that he wanted me to purchase for a premium were old, the googly-eyes all with bloodied eyes and noses. All of them! They must have been baits from previous charters. I feel like I've been robbed. What a waste of money. That's what some shady captains treat vacationers. I will not get into the dialog and some of the insults I received from Tyler. If these are the type of captains, you are promoting then you are tricking the consumer. Please feel free to contact me is needed.

Regarding the bait, the crew bought goggle eyes specifically for you to use as bait after you confirmed that you wanted to pay extra to use them, and when you refused to pay for them and left the dock, Captain Experiences footed the bill for you. This is why we charge customers up front, and unfortunately since this was an add-on we were left holding the bill. Our goal is for every trip we send out to be the trip of a lifetime, and its disappointing to hear that you think we are “tricking” anyone. Our policies and procedures are clearly laid out on the website, and we are available anytime for questions from anyone looking to book a trip. We’ve tried to reach out via text, email, and call to talk to you about your trip, so please get back to us so we can try to give you some resolution here that works for everyone.

At one point in the conversation with Tyler, he said it was not worth his time to take us out (2 of us), although we booked a private boat with Captain Experiences. He only agreed after finding another client to ride along and share the expense. This was for an 11am trip. This change affected the entire plans we had for the remainder of the day, but there was no way to get our money back otherwise. Still no word from Captain Experiences at this point. Actual trip was a bust, only catching 2 Barracuda and hooking a shark. In Cancun we caught about 15-20 fish (Barracuda, Mahi, etc.) in the same time. I know there are no guarantees, but this haul was very, very weak. I will say that the crew (Tyler was not on this trip) was fabulous. Too bad they work for him. In the end, I will not utilize Captain Experiences again (we have previously) and will either book with another charter company or directly with an independent captain.

We were fishing in late December and the fish just were not biting. But he TRIED. Ended up catching maybe ten keepers. He offered a return trip at half price. And was super considerate when two passengers were sick. Returned to the pier to drop them off and then took the others back out to try again.

Once you've paid your deposit at checkout, we'll send you a QR Code boarding pass. Just show your guide your boarding pass on the day of the trip, they'll scan it, the remaining balance will transfer automatically, and you'll be all set to get out there. Just make sure you bring a cash tip for the guide!

In the event of inclement weather, our guides will check the conditions and make the final call on whether its safe to go on the trip. If they decide the trip needs to be postponed, we'll work closely with you to reschedule or provide a credit for the full deposit, which can be applied to any of our trips in the US and beyond.

Each trip's price is determined by the guide and reflects all associated costs. A significant factor in pricing is often the type of boat and the corresponding fuel expenses. Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
