Meet your Captain, Tom—a true Orange Beach native with over 40 years of offshore fishing experience and a proud owner of five charter boats based out of Zeke’s Landing Marina.

Tom’s love for fishing began at a young age, reeling in bass and bream from farm ponds and rivers near his home, or casting for speckled trout and redfish off the family dock on Wolf Bay. That early passion soon evolved into a lifelong calling when his father, Captain Gloyice, had a custom-built charter boat completed in 1980. Tom grew up deckhanding alongside his dad and ran his first official charter at just 18 years old. He later inherited the vessel after his father’s passing, continuing the family legacy on the water.

After graduating from UWF with a degree in criminal justice, Tom married the love of his life, Kim, in 1997. The following year, they purchased their first boat together and dove headfirst into the charter fishing life. Since then, Tom has raised a family—his son Garrett is currently working on his Master’s degree at Mississippi State—and continued to grow his fleet, always striving to improve each boat year after year. Over time, he added more vessels to his operation, including a 34’ Crusader, and in partnership with Captain Brett Russell, expanded the fleet further in 2019 and again in 2022.

One of Tom’s greatest strengths is mentoring the next generation of captains. He’s trained numerous young deckhands—many of whom started with him as teenagers—into knowledgeable, dependable leaders on the water. His team runs like a tight-knit family, always working together, sharing knowledge, and helping one another both in the marina and offshore. That unity gives his entire operation a serious advantage.

Beyond fishing, Tom has a real talent for restoring older boats, bringing them back to life with a deep understanding of engines, generators, and the advanced electronics that keep anglers safe and successful. This mechanical expertise has become a passion within his already impressive fishing career.

Now in his 50s, Tom still lives for the outdoors—whether it’s hunting, fishing, spending time with family (including his two Labrador retrievers), or running a 64’ Viking sportfisher for a lifelong friend. He fishes marlin tournaments, travels for adventure, and never turns down a good boat ride on a well-built craft.

Above all, what drives Captain Tom is the joy he sees in his clients—from first-timers reeling in their very first catch to long-time regulars who return year after year. His passion for fishing is contagious, and his dedication to creating unforgettable experiences keeps anglers coming back time and time again.

Everything Else to Know

Bring a cooler with your food and drinks, we ask no glass containers. Customary tip for the mate is 20% and fish cleaning is available at .30 cents a pound whole weight
This trip is managed by an outfitter. Tom will be your point of contact and you will go out with one of their guides.
We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).
Cancel for free up to 14 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 14 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.
In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

We vet our guides and only partner with the best of the best. Our guides do their very best to keep you safe, show you a great time, and send you home with a memorable experience shared with family and friends.
Once you've paid your deposit at checkout, we'll send you a QR Code boarding pass. Just show your guide your boarding pass on the day of the trip, they'll scan it, the remaining balance will transfer automatically, and you'll be all set to get out there. Just make sure you bring a cash tip for the guide!
In the event of inclement weather, our guides will check the conditions and make the final call on whether its safe to go on the trip. If they decide the trip needs to be postponed, we'll work closely with you to reschedule or provide a credit for the full deposit, which can be applied to any of our trips in the US and beyond.
Each trip's price is determined by the guide and reflects all associated costs. A significant factor in pricing is often the type of boat and the corresponding fuel expenses. Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
