About Your Trip

Welcome aboard, I’m Capt Dexter. Our trip begins at West Bay boat ramp with a short run to my fishing grounds. We will fish for redfish or speckled trout or both. We specialize in light tackle which offers a thrill of a lifetime. Spinning rods and reels spooled with 10 lbs braid with a 20 lbs fluorocarbon leader. Baits may be artificial and or live bait. All licenses are included. My boat is equipped with fish finder, live scope, Minn Kota spot lock trolling motor and a 60 horse Suzuki. All you will need to bring are your personal items: sunscreen, sunglasses, appropriate dress for the weather, snacks and drinks. I will have bottled water on ice. Be sure to bring your camera. I welcome all anglers from the experienced to the novice and anywhere in between. One of my greatest passions is teaching kids how to fish. My greatest joy is watching young anglers learn and or improve their fishing skills. I try to tailor my trip to fit the desire of my clients. Come and enjoy a day on the water and let’s go catch a few fish.

I’m Captain Dexter and I operate out of West Bay boat ramp. I fish the waters around the Panama City area. I’m a passionate outdoorsman and I grew up fishing the bays and tributaries around Panama City. My family has been on the water for generations and I was introduced to the fishing business at a young age. As I grew up, I spent countless hours working on commercial fishing boats as a deckhand. Then later I owned my own 58 ft. X 19 ft. shrimp trawler for over 20 years. Growing up playing and then later earning a living from these waters contributes to my vast knowledge of the local waters and all their inhabitants. Nowadays, with 60 plus years of experience I translates this knowledge to my clients by providing a fun fishing experience whether my clients are beginners or experienced anglers. Kids are one of my favorite clients. With patience, I enjoy teaching new anglers the art of fishing.
