You'll be fishing aboard a 33’ Ocean Master center console, powered by twin 300 HP Yamahas, accommodating up to six passengers. This boat is equipped with a flybridge, a live well, an ice box, and top-quality Penn fishing equipment, ensuring a comfortable and efficient fishing experience.

This half-day trip is ideal for novice anglers looking to start their fishing journey and for experienced fishers with busy schedules. You'll have the opportunity to target a variety of species around the flats and reefs, including Snapper, Amberjack, Pompano, Grouper, and more.

John S.

Growing up on the water in Sarasota, Florida Captain John was fishing by the time he could walk. After a first trip to Big Pine Key in 1974 to attend New Found Harbor Marine Institute, John spent every Summer break fishing and diving the waters of the Florida Keys.

After spending most of his early summers fishing and diving he decided to make a career out of diving. In 1982 he attended Florida Institute of Technology and received two degrees, one in underwater technology and the other in sport diving education.

While attending F.I.T. John started working in the sport fishing industry out of Sewals Point, in the heart of sailfish alley aboard the charter boat, Cracker Jack. John brought those skills with him to the Florida Keys. While still going to F.I.T. John moved to Little Torch Key, Florida in 1984.

After working several years as a full time diving instructor, John established his charter company in 1988. Captain John also taught marine science with Marine Sciences Under Sail. A few years later the flats boat was added to the operation in order to offer all types of Keys fishing.

Over the years the SCUBA diving segment of the in water operation has been phased out leaving only the snorkeling and skin diving, This allowed him to concentrate heavily on fishing.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 7 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 7 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

Each trip's price is determined by the guide and reflects all associated costs. A significant factor in pricing is often the type of boat and the corresponding fuel expenses. Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, bait, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
