We went out with Charlie's partner. The experience with his partner was great.

However, Charlie never explained verbally, via text or email that there would be differences in pricing per type of hog. I ended up getting hit by an extra $400 added to the original cost i agreed to. A trip that was supposed to be $654 cost me $1,054. He never explained anything and the approach was very unethical. After I pointed this out to him, he updated the pricing structure on the Captain Experiences website. I will likely be calling my credit card to dispute the $400.

The reason I give it 2 stars is because his partner did great.
Thank you

Would definitely rate this 5 ⭐️’s. Charlie was the best host for our iguana hunt. He kept us informed and was very accommodating. He worked hard to make sure we had an amazing experience even without seeing loads of iguanas. Charlie and Cassie have eagle eyes and were able to point them out to us. They were fabulous hosts and if we get back to Ft Lauderdale we will be doing this again!!

We had a group of 6, it was our first time in Florida and this iguana hunt did not disappoint. The day started out slow but once the sun came out it was on. We called Charlie the day before our trip and he picked up right away and answered all our questions even though it was Christmas Day. Charlie and his crew were on time at the start of the trip and they were very professional throughout the 5-hour trip. They were experts at spotting iguanas and we definitely wouldn't have captured as many without their "eagle" eyes. With their help we managed to take out a huge iguana that was over five and a half feet long. Charlie and team were also excellent with our two sons and showed a lot of patience with our youngest since he wasn't always behaving at his best. They quickly loaded our guns whenever we ran out of ammo and they offered water to us to make sure we were all well hydrated since it was a warm December day. The trip was a fantastic family experience that we will never forget. Needless to say, we highly recommend Charlie and we won't hesitate to book another hunt with him when we return to South Florida.

The guide was good. I think there is a system issue with Captain Experience. We drove from the Orlando area. It was my first time iguana hunting. We booked a 4-hour trip, but Captain Experience upgraded it to a 5-hour trip, which automatically meant more money that was automatically billed. In the end, we were on the water for 3 hours and 50 minutes, which doesn’t seem right, especially considering the price and having to...

Hey David this is Trey with Captain Experiences. Thanks for sharing your feedback. We’re glad to hear you had a good experience with Charlie and got to try iguana hunting for the first time!!

This was a next-day booking request during a busy spring break period, and I worked quickly to help set you up with Charlie, who had availability. The trip details, including duration and pricing, were all sent to you in advance. Gratuity is optional but encouraged and is between you and your guide.

That said, we understand the concern regarding time on the water and overall value, and we appreciate it being brought to our attention. I’m glad we could connect behind the scenes to offer some clarity and try to make things right!

Charlie was a nice guide. He was patient and kind with the kids. We did pay for 5 hours and with rain showers the hunt was cut short to 3 hour and 40 min. Is what it i guess. We shot at 6 iguanas over the period we hunted. All but 1 iquana we shot at was in the first two hours. We ended up with 2 in the boat. I felt the second half was rushed and we were moving pretty fast which made it tough to spot iguanas to shoot. Also when making the reservation I thought I was booking closer to fort Lauderdale where we were staying but the night before the meeting area given was an hour north of Fort Lauderdale. Not a big deal but with a 6 and 8 year old I really didn’t want to deal with driving so far away for a short hunt. I heard so much about hunting iguanas and with my family being avid hunter we were pumped to go, however our experience was sub parr. Maybe next time will be better….
