About Your Trip

Plan for 2 days but more often than not we get it done in the first day!

I have hunted wild Alligators in both rivers and rice fields that border the Texas coast for over 35 years. I grew up fishing and hunting here and it is not just a “weekend” trip for me like so many other guide services. Hunting, Bowfishing and rod & reel fishing for Alligator Gar is my life 7 days a week. If you want Alligators for either trophy, leather or for just the meat I can make that happen.

12ft plus Alligators are taken with this guide service yearly and Alligators up to 8ft can be hunted all day long. The price of the hunt covers all Aligators up to 8ft or 96". I charge trophy fees ($500) for each additional foot.

My hunt methods are either with a bow and arrow or with a baited hook and line.

No matter which hunting method you are interested in, both are equally exciting. I do WARN all my hunters that these are wild alligators we are hunting, not a stocked pond. Because we are hunting Alligators in the wilds of Texas all you need to do is let me know your hunting preference. As mentioned above I hunt Alligators with either a bow and arrow or a hook and a baited line, just let me know which method and I will be happy to find this BIG reptile for you to hunt.

Alligator Bow & Arrow Hunting. If you want to stalk up on your alligator with a bow and arrow I’ll be happy to put you on your alligator this way. However we must pay close attention to the Texas State laws when hunting alligators with this method. I ALWAYS fish & hunt according to state laws. This is the most adrenaline rush and skill-set test – focusing on a live Alligator and delivering a kill shot.

Now THAT is One Monster of a Gator!

We also can do a hook and baited line Alligator capture. Like mentioned above you can bait your lines or I can pre-bait them for you. The hunt is yours so you can come out and bait and lay the lines for your alligator or I can have some lines pre-baited its totally up to you.

I provide the tags for your alligator and the tags are included in the price of your hunt. I can also skin your alligator for the taxidermist and prep your meat for the ride home.

Everything Else to Know

All you need to bring is yourself and your Texas hunting license. You can also purchase it online from the link at the bottom of this page. I have all the gear that you will need to catch Alligators. However, if you prefer your own gear as many do, you are more than welcome to bring your own. Sun screen, polarized sunglasses and snacks are all also a good idea.

You'll need to buy a hunting license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 7 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 7 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

To start, we booked the hunt with Mark and never met him. We went out with another person unbeknownst to us. When we got to the hunt we were told that we only had 3 guns to use, yet there were 5 of us on the hunt. There was only enough room for 3 people in the truck so 2 of us had to ride in the bed of the truck. We were told many excuses as to why we aren't seeing any hogs. We didn't see hogs till the last hour or hour and a half and only got to shoot at 2 groups. Then the hunt was over. We did shoot pigs but it was not what I expected for the money that we paid for the hunt. The guides, I don't feel were as professional as they should have been. As an avid hunter who has hunted many species in many states, I would not recommend this to anyone who is any sort of hunter. Overall, we did shoot pigs but everyone on the hunt was disappointed and feels cheated or scammed.

For sure was not the trip of a lifetime nor worth all the money and extra expenses, didn’t end up shooting any hogs or seeing anything the first night nor did we get to even get to hunt hogs for the second night like planned due to weather however did have very friendly, accommodating and respectable guides all around.
