How did you get started guiding?
With the love and support of my family and friends and a true mentor by the name of Bobby Barrack. After going out on two guided trips, he provided me the knowledge, the inspiration, taught me the mechanics and gave me the tools for success and how to be a successful pro tournament angler and guided fisherman!
What makes you different from other guides?
The thing that makes me different from other guides is that I am all about the educational & instructional pieces. The reason for this is that my clientele have the tools and know how when they are alone or preparing for their next fishing trip. I am all about the mechanical and basic fundamentals and know how to catch fish, especially largemouth bass in the tidal waters of the California Delta. I am all about attention to detail & the finer points/aspects of fishing. Definitely a hands on approach & I make the trip very lively when the client is rewarded in catching fish or perhaps, the opportunity in hooking a trophy fish of a lifetime.
