About Your Trip

Head offshore with Captain Vinnie and tap into over 50 years of experience navigating the legendary waters of the New York Bight. This trip is built for anglers who want to immerse themselves in the full offshore experience—where the ocean runs deep, the targets are big, and every cast brings the potential for something extraordinary.

This isn’t a trolling trip. Captain Vinnie focuses on sight casting and live bait fishing—fast-paced, interactive methods that keep you
actively engaged. Whether you're scanning for surface activity, pitching baits to a pod of predators, or feeling out a subtle take offshore, it’s all about reading the water and reacting in real time.

Depending on the season and conditions, this trip may target species like bluefin and bigeye tuna, powerful offshore sharks including threshers and makos, and the occasional cobia patrolling near floating structure or rays. These fisheries are challenging, exciting, and always evolving. Some days bring flurries of action, others require patience and persistence—but that’s part of what makes the offshore game so rewarding.

Captain Vinnie brings the full setup: quality rods and reels, an arsenal of tackle and lures, and fresh live bait. Your fishing license is covered, and drinks and light snacks are provided onboard. You’re welcome to bring your own food and beverages—just skip the hard liquor and glass bottles. At the end of the trip, any legal catch you choose to keep will be cleaned and filleted back at the dock.

Joining you is a knowledgeable and hardworking first mate to help throughout the day. A 20% tip is appreciated if you’re happy with the service.

Early mornings typically offer the best shot at favorable tides and bait movement, so expect to get on the water bright and early. This trip is for those who want to be active participants in their day—casting, watching, adjusting, and staying alert in pursuit of a memorable offshore adventure.

With Captain Vinnie at the helm, you’re in expert hands no matter what the ocean has in store.
