About Your Trip

We will run out between 5 and 20 miles offshore to start trolling/bottom fishing for whatever is in season or what you are wanting to target. I will try to fill the cooler for you if you are wanting that. I do not put a limit on the number of fish we keep other than what the state allows. We will always abide by state and federal laws. Thare are many species we can catch that are not listed below. I always call the night before to go over the trip with you and answer any additional questions you might have. At Badlands Charters, we strive to meake everyone happy and send you home with great memories. I also habe a youtube channel that if you dont mind, I will film and pit the trip on youtube for you to enjoy for many years to come. And you will have video evidence to show your friends you really did get that big one!

Captain Ryan is a native Floridian growing up on the northern gulf coast of the panhandle. He has fished the gulf for over 25 years. As a youth, Ryan fished the lakes, rivers, bays and gulf. As a young adult, he joined the US Army. Ryan served 8 years with duty stations in South Korea, and Ft. Campbell, Ky. From Ft. Campbell, Capt. Ryan deployed to Kosovo, Afghanistan and Iraq. During these years, he trained as a military police officer and later served as a proud member of the 101st Airborne. Fishing was never far from his thoughts. At home on leave, Ryan, often, took the friends and sons of his ‘away’ military buddies fishing for the big one. After military service, Ryan earned his degree as a medical assistant serving cardiology and orthopedics.

Along the way, Ryan purchased his first boat for bay and gulf fishing for personal fishing pursuits. He gained experience in navigating open waters and fishing endeavors. Today, Capt. Ryan is putting his vocational skills and experience as well as his boating and fishing experience into captaining.

All rods, reels, and tackle are included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and any gear of your own you want to use on the trip.

You're all set! You don't need to buy a license for this trip.

This trip is managed by an outfitter. Ryan will be your point of contact and you will go out with one of their guides.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 7 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 7 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

Once you've paid your deposit at checkout, we'll send you a QR Code boarding pass. Just show your guide your boarding pass on the day of the trip, they'll scan it, the remaining balance will transfer automatically, and you'll be all set to get out there. Just make sure you bring a cash tip for the guide!

In the event of inclement weather, our guides will check the conditions and make the final call on whether its safe to go on the trip. If they decide the trip needs to be postponed, we'll work closely with you to reschedule or provide a credit for the full deposit, which can be applied to any of our trips in the US and beyond.

Each trip's price is determined by the guide and reflects all associated costs. A significant factor in pricing is often the type of boat and the corresponding fuel expenses. Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, bait, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
