Climb aboard a fully equipped 60’ Sportfisher for an exciting day of deep-sea and nearshore fishing off the coast of Key Biscayne. With Captain Nelson, a U.S. Navy veteran and experienced angler with over 30 years on the water, you’ll have the opportunity to target some of the ocean’s most sought-after species. Whether you're an experienced angler or new to offshore fishing, this 9-hour trip is designed to accommodate all skill levels.

The federally permitted vessel is built for both comfort and performance, featuring air conditioning, a restroom, and a spacious deck for up to six guests. Outfitted with high-quality fishing gear, advanced electronics, and a live bait well, the boat is well-prepared for a range of fishing styles. Guests are welcome to bring their favorite drinks (no glass bottles) and connect their Bluetooth music to enhance the experience while cruising the open water.

The waters off Key Biscayne offer opportunities to target a variety of pelagic species and bottom-dwelling fighters. Depending on the season and conditions, you might encounter Mahi Mahi, Blackfin Tuna, Kingfish, Bonito, False Albacore, Cobia, and Sailfish, along with the chance to battle Bull Sharks, Dusky Sharks, Lemon Sharks, and Sandbar Sharks. A range of fishing techniques, including trolling, bottom fishing, kite fishing, deep dropping, and live bait fishing, allows for a dynamic day on the water.

Captain Nelson and his professional crew are dedicated to making your trip as enjoyable as possible, assisting with everything from baiting hooks to handling the gear. If you catch something you'd like to take home, they can clean and fillet it for you at the dock. Be sure to bring food, drinks, sun protection, and a camera to capture the excitement.

You will be responsible for your own gear. Nelson will be in touch to discuss details before the trip.

You're all set! You don't need to buy a license for this trip.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 7 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 7 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

We had an amazing time with Captain Nelson durting our five hour deep sea fishing trip in September of 2025. The boat is large and steady in the open water which helped us landcrabs to keep our breakfast within.

Captain Nelson and his team were extraordinary. They were incredibly hospitable and ensured we had a great afternoon. If they decide the trip needs to be postponed, we'll work closely with you to reschedule or provide a credit for the full deposit, which can be applied to any of our trips in the US and beyond.

Each trip's price is determined by the guide and reflects all associated costs. A significant factor in pricing is often the type of boat and the corresponding fuel expenses. Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
