How did you get started guiding?
A mean bully told me I could never do it.
What makes you different from other guides?
Being the first full time female guide in our area required me to start from the bottom and learn everything authentically, yet simultaneously, so I was able to relate to the first time anglers much better and became a more patient and understanding coach and instructor. I also find that families with children prefer a woman because we are great with children and they warm up to women easily, and we have a much easier time teaching women how to fish, which has saved quite a few marriages over the years! I also teach the ladies how to back a trailer in 3 words… (talk about saving marriages — AND looking like a champ at the boat launch…)!
