If you’re looking for a more interactive fishing experience, Captain Mike’s bottom fishing trips are the way to go! These trips range from 6 to 12 hours, with longer trips taking you farther offshore for even bigger and better catches. Whether you’re an experienced angler or a family looking for an action-packed day on the water, bottom fishing is a fantastic way to reel in a variety of hard-fighting and delicious fish.

What to Expect on a Bottom Fishing Trip
Unlike trolling, bottom fishing is all about dropping your line straight down and feeling the bite! We’ll travel 10 to 50 miles offshore, depending on the length of your trip, and hold the boat steady over artificial reefs and natural bottom structures. These areas are teeming with fish, giving everyone on board a shot at landing something impressive.
The longer the trip, the deeper we go—and the more fish we catch!

Bottom fishing produces some of the tastiest and toughest fish in the Gulf, including:
