About Your Trip

Hop aboard with Captain Daryll for an unforgettable day on the water filled with hard pulls, tight lines, and top-tier comfort! Whether you're looking for a quick 4-hour getaway or a full 8-hour offshore adventure, Captain Daryll’s trips offer something for every angler—novice or pro. Based on years of experience and a passion for putting people on fish, this crew delivers the kind of trip that keeps folks coming back year after year.

Each trip
is fully outfitted with all the gear, bait, and instruction you need to get hooked up fast. On your 4-hour trip, you'll stay closer to shore, mixing in some light trolling, bottom fishing, or even shark fishing for a thrilling fight right out of the gate. The 6-hour trip adds more time to cover water and chase down a wider variety of fish, combining trolling with deeper bottom drops and extended shark runs. For the serious anglers looking to push further and fish longer, the 8-hour trip brings you offshore for a full-day hunt targeting everything from bottom dwellers to speedy pelagics.

Depending on the season and conditions, you’ll be targeting a solid list of species including Snapper, Grouper, Triggerfish, Porgy, Amberjack, and Cobia on the bottom—and chasing Mahi-Mahi, King Mackerel, Spanish Mackerel, Tuna, and Wahoo in the blue water. And yes, the sharks are always lurking!

Your vessel for the day is a legendary Bertram Sportfishing boat, powered by twin turbocharged Cummins engines with a cruising speed of 25 mph—fast enough to get you to the fish, and built tough to handle whatever the sea throws your way. With over 60 years of proven design behind it, this boat is known for comfort and performance. The enclosed, climate-controlled cabin keeps things cool in the summer and toasty on cooler days, making it a major step up from open-deck boats when the weather turns. You’ll also enjoy a private bathroom, fresh water sink, fridge, toaster oven, comfy seating, and even a couch to relax between bites.

Every trip includes a licensed captain and a hardworking mate who’s there to help with rigging, reeling, and cleaning your catch at the end of the day. The crew provides complimentary bottled water, ice, and will even bag and fillet your catch for you. Want to eat it right away? Many local restaurants will cook your catch!

What to bring? Dress for the weather, pack some snacks and drinks (yes, alcohol is welcome!), and bring sun protection, polarized shades, and a cooler (to leave in your car) for your fresh catch. If you're bringing kids, a familiar life jacket is always a good idea.

Captain Daryll’s trips combine first-class fishing with serious comfort—whether you're chasing your personal best or just spending quality time with family and friends. So book your spot, hop aboard, and let’s go catch some fish!

Captain Darryll grew up around the ocean. As a young fisherman he enjoyed many exciting trips fishing along the eastern coast of South Africa. This is commonly called the "wild coast" because of it's wild unforgiving waters. Darryll learned a lot on these waters and grew to respect mother nature and the power she has. Added to the experience gained in South Africa, he also has experience on boats in Australia, the United Kingdom and the Caribbean. This world wide experience has led him to being an experienced Captain on both power and sail vessels along with holding the NAUI Divemaster certificate. Darryll is also an USCG Instructor teaching classes for new captains.

World Class Bertram Sport Fishing
Our Bertram Sport Fishing boat is known as a fish catcher. Bertram has been around for 60 years and they are still being built. This is because of their high standard in quality design and engineering. We are high built quality and have an excellent safety record.

Our boat is powered by twin Turbo Cummins engines that give us 720hp. This gives us a top speed around 34mph. Our normal cruising speed is around 25 mph. Fast enough to get us out to the deeper water to catch our fish.

The cabin is enclosed and is heated and cooled with a powerful Northern Lights generator. Having the generator on board not only allows us to cool the cabin in the hot summer months but also to heat it when we fish on the cooler winter days. The enclosed cabin is an advantage over the open center console boats when the wind and rain picks up. You'll stay nice and dry. The cabin has a couch, bench seating, fresh water sink, fridge, toaster oven and other creature comforts.

On the overnight or extended trips, you get to enjoy the comfort of the cabin with a place to lie down and sleep. The private bathroom with its hot and cold water shower, sink and toilet helps with the creature comforts of being on the water for extended time.

No matter what the sea conditions, time of year, phase of the moon, this is where you want to be.

Our vessel is documented with USCG and holds two Federal Fishing Permits. Without the permits charter boats are not allowed to cross the 9 mile boundary mark into Federal waters. With both the Reef Fish and Pelagic permits, we can enter Federal Waters. This advantage helps when Red Snapper season opens along with all other species in deeper water. Tuna, Wahoo and Mahi Mahi are just a few that we can catch.
