About Your Trip

Looking for a fun, flexible half-day fishing trip off the coast of Boca Raton? We’ve got you covered. This 4-hour charter is perfect for families, first-timers, or anyone looking to get offshore and hook into something without committing to a full day. We’ll coordinate the start time around your schedule and the tides — giving you the best shot at action.

You’ll be fishing aboard a new 219 Key West center console — a smooth,
stable ride with cushioned seating, Bluetooth audio (you pick the playlist), and plenty of deck space to move around. While we’re licensed for up to 6 guests, we recommend groups of 4–5 for the most comfortable experience. There’s no mate onboard, just your experienced captain who’ll guide the trip from start to finish. We provide a YETI cooler with ice for your drinks and snacks, and keep another cooler stocked with cold bottled water. Want lunch and drinks handled? Just ask — we can provide them for an additional fee.

After a quick 20-minute ride out, we’ll be trolling productive waters 2 to 5 miles offshore in depths ranging from 100 to 500 feet. We use a combination of planers, teasers, and dead baits to cover different parts of the water column while keeping lines in the water the entire time. Kingfish are common in these waters, and if we hit mahi or tuna, that’s a solid day. We occasionally run into wahoo too. Each trip is tailored to your group, the season, and the current conditions — so no two days are the same.

We love having kids on board and go out of our way to make it a fun and safe experience for younger anglers. Whether it’s helping them reel in their first fish or spotting dolphins cruising by, we aim to create memories that last. You never know what you’ll see out there — from sea turtles to submarines — and we’re happy to clean and bag your catch at the end of the day.

This isn’t a generic “party boat” experience — it’s a private, customized charter that feels like having your own boat (minus the hassle). Whether you want to focus on catching dinner, learn the basics, or just enjoy a stress-free day on the water, we’ll tailor the trip to fit your vibe. You tell us what kind of day you’re looking for — we’ll make it happen.

Captain Ted grew up on the water and never left it. With years of experience fishing and diving the waters off Boca Raton, he brings a laid-back but dialed-in approach to every trip. Whether you're targeting pelagics offshore, chasing lobster on the reef, or just floating at the sandbar with a cold drink, he knows exactly where to go and how to make it memorable.

Ted’s goal is simple: make you feel like you're out on your boat — just
with none of the stress, maintenance, or guesswork. From seasoned anglers to first-timers, kids to salty veterans, he tailors every trip to match the energy of the crew.

When he's not running charters, you'll probably still find him on the water — fishing, freediving, or exploring new spots to share with future guests.

Rapid Fire Guide Q & A

What’s the biggest fish you’ve caught?
The biggest fish I’ve caught was a 300-pound swordfish — an absolute beast pulled up from deep water after an hours-long battle. It’s one of those catches you never forget, not just because of the size, but because of the grind it took to land it. That fish earned every pound — and so did we.
If you were cooking for all your friends what would you cook?
If we just caught some mahi, you better believe that’s what’s hitting the grill. I’d go with blackened mahi tacos, homemade slaw, fresh lime, and a little heat — simple, fresh, and perfect after a day on the water. Throw in some ice-cold beers and good music, and that’s a perfect night.

What’s your favorite band?
Tough one — depends on the mood. I’m big into rock, so anything from classic stuff like Led Zeppelin to newer bands like Foo Fighters. Some days it's heavy, other days it’s chill… but there’s always something playing on the boat.
What’s your favorite movie?
Definitely Step Brothers. I’ll quote it five times before lunch without even realizing it. If you hear “Did we just become best friends?” on the boat… yeah, that’s me.
What’s your favorite sports team?
I love football season, but I don’t have a set team. My rule is simple — walk into a bar on a Sunday and cheer with whoever’s the loudest. It’s always a good time, and you never leave without new friends.
What’s your drink of choice?
Corona or Modelo if we’re keeping it light — but if it’s bourbon time, I’m not saying no. Depends on the occasion, but those are the go-tos.
What was your last halloween costume?
Dexter. Rubber gloves, plastic wrap, fake blood — the whole creepy Miami vibe. Nailed it.
What do you want for Christmas this year?
A trolling motor — because the fish aren’t going to find themselves. It’s at the top of the wish list.
How did you get started guiding?
It was actually a guide who got me into fishing — and that experience stuck with me. In this world, we don’t do what we do for thanks; we do it to create more responsible anglers. By teaching the right techniques the right way, we help make sure this sport lives on for the next generation. That’s what it’s all about.
What makes you different from other guides?
I’m not big on talking about myself — I’d rather let the trip speak for itself. What I can say is that I treat every trip like I’m taking out friends. I keep it real, keep it safe, and make sure everyone on board has a great time, no matter their skill level. Whether you’re chasing your first fish or your fiftieth, you’ll feel like the boat is yours for the day.
