If you're looking to experience the raw power and relentless action of offshore tuna fishing, Captain Dennis has just the trip for you. From early-morning departures to deep canyon runs, these full-throttle adventures off the coast of Long Island are tailor-made for serious anglers chasing big game in deep blue waters.

Each tuna trip is designed with range and intensity in mind. The 8-hour trip takes you up to 30 miles offshore, where you’ll troll for Bluefin, Yellowfin, Bigeye, and Albacore Tuna. The 12-hour outing extends the range up to 50 miles and expands your arsenal—trolling, casting, jigging, and chunking—all to maximize your chances of landing something worthy of a story. And for the diehards, the 16-hour canyon trip is the crown jewel. Departing at 1:00 AM, this journey puts you on the edge, targeting Tuna species alongside Mahi Mahi, Tilefish, Wahoo, and even the occasional White Marlin.

Your ride for the day is a 28’ Parker center console powered by twin 500 HP Yamaha engines, fully equipped with Garmin electronics, outriggers, tuna tubes, live bait wells, and all the offshore essentials. Captain Dennis provides top-tier rods, reels, bait, and tackle, so you’ll be geared up and ready to go the moment lines hit the water.

Tuna fishing is all about endurance and excitement, so be sure to bring a packed lunch, snacks, and plenty of water to keep you going. While the crew handles the rigging and fish-finding, your job is to hold on tight and reel hard. This is the kind of trip where memories are made—and fish stories are born.

Please note, a 20% tip for the first mate is customary and not included in the trip price. With a combination of speed, strategy, and serious offshore action, these tuna trips with Captain Dennis deliver an unforgettable day—or night—on the Atlantic. All gear is included, but we also recommed sunscreen, fowlweather-gear. appropriate clothing, and anything else you might want on the trip.
You're all set! You don't need to buy a license for this trip.
This trip is managed by an outfitter. Dennis will be your point of contact and you will go out with one of their guides.
We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).
Cancel for free up to 14 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 14 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.
In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

In the event of inclement weather, our guides will check the conditions and make the final call on whether its safe to go on the trip. If they decide the trip needs to be postponed, we'll work closely with you to reschedule or provide a credit for the full deposit, which can be applied to any of our trips in the US and beyond.
Each trip's price is determined by the guide and reflects all associated costs. A significant factor in pricing is often the type of boat and the corresponding fuel expenses. Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
