These extended trips are designed for anglers who want to maximize their time on the water, reach remote fishing grounds that few boats ever visit, and experience the thrill of true bluewater fishing.

You'll be making the long run to the furthest reaches of the Gulf—over 180 miles offshore—to fish around massive oil rigs and deepwater drill ships suspended over water as deep as 12,000 feet. These offshore structures create an incredible ecosystem that attracts baitfish and predators alike, making them some of the most reliable places in the Gulf to hook into world-class game fish.

Yellowfin Tuna are the stars of the show, and for good reason. These powerful fish routinely push anglers and tackle to their limits with blistering runs and hard-fought battles. Whether you're casting topwater plugs to explosive surface feeds, chunking, jigging, or fishing live bait around the rigs, every hookup is an adrenaline rush you'll never forget.

While giant Yellowfin are often the primary target, you never know what might show up next. Your adventure takes place aboard a beautiful 42' Buddy Davis sportfishing boat that's perfectly built for serious offshore fishing. Powered by twin Cummins QSM-11 diesel engines producing well over 1,200 combined horsepower, this vessel cruises at nearly 30 knots, helping you cover serious ground efficiently while providing a comfortable ride. With room for up to six anglers, everyone has plenty of space to fish without feeling crowded.

The boat comes fully equipped with everything needed for a premium offshore experience. On deck you'll find outriggers, downriggers, tuna tubes, live wells, a fighting chair, and top-quality rods, reels, and tackle for every technique you'll use throughout the trip. Captain Matthew has been fishing in the Destin, Florida area since 1987. He's always had a passion for deep sea fishing since day one, and his first jobs were on party boats out of Destin. Then after high school, Captain Matthew spent the next few years commercial fishing in the Gulf of Mexico.

At the age of 21, Captain Matthew received his 100 ton USCG Captains license and began operating a 65’ party boat out of Destin, Florida.

After a year, Captain Matthew returned to commercial fishing and remained in the commercial fishing industry for ~10 years.

In 2011, Captain Matthew was granted the opportunity to captain a private sportfishing operation and excelled at catching billfish and deepwater bottom fish like Snapper and Grouper.

Captain Matthew is a calm, cool and collected Destin fishing charter captain who looks forward to hosting your and your family and friends for an unforgettable day on the water.

You're all set! You don't need to buy a license for this trip.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 7 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 7 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

Captain Matt and his deckhand, Steve were very competent and professional. We had 8 lines out trolling for most of the 14 hour day. Steve even continued on with a good laceration on his hand from the first wahoo we caught. We eventually caught a limit of barely keeper red snapper, which is cool until you walk down the dock and see folks with red snapper twice as long, several, as well as other keeper fish. In the event of inclement weather, our guides will check the conditions and make the final call on whether its safe to go on the trip.
