trip description for Galveston Bay Fishing - 5 hour in Galveston

We will meet at a predetermined location that is best for you and provides quick access to fishing. I provide the rods, reels, tackle and bait for the day. I just need you to bring your drinks and snacks in a small cooler and to make sure everyone has a valid fishing license. We will fish from my 24’ Sea Pro with Suzuki 200 hp engine to get there fast, using live bait most days; we will fish reefs, jetties or other structure around Galveston Bay. Once we are done we will return to the dock where I will clean and filet your fish and package them in gallon ziplock bags. Do we fish if it’s raining or windy? Safety is a priority. If there are severe storms in the area or if the wind is out of control, I’ll suggest we delay or try to reschedule the trip. There’s no sense in going out and being uncomfortable, and I will never put us in danger. But if it’s just a little rain, let’s go – the fish are already wet! Read More

trip description for Half Day of Fishing in Houston

Only have a few hours for a trip? Not a problem! During a Half Day trip, we'll travel along the Bayou and target Alligator Gar. Our 16ft Jon boat will have all the gear necessary for catching fish. All you need to bring is your drink of choice and comfortable clothes for the day. Please keep in mind that you will likely get dirty while fishing. During the summer months, temperatures can reach above 100 F degrees so be prepared with clothes that are appropriate. I will have a cooler on board with waters and ice for everyone where you can store your drinks and lunch. Alligator Gar are notoriously tough to catch but we will guide you through the entire process regardless of your experience level. Kids are also welcome on board. In fact, our favorite guests are fathers who are looking to create memories with their children in the outdoors. This is a catch and release only fishing charter. We use a variety of baits caught from the same water including Common and Grass Carp, Mullet, Shad and Buffalo. During the really hot days, we'll use live mullet that we'll catch during our trip. Although many charters list their locations as Houston, our charter is the only service that operates in Houston. You dont have to leave town to experience the outdoors and catch giant fish! Whenever I'm in Galveston or Houston for conventions group of us charters a fishing trip. Charles put us on fish and we put a variety of species in the boat...no limits, but fishing was steady. He unhooked and baited us up all day.. We typically fish CC to Pt Isabel in the Laguna Madre 15 or more times a year and boat 50 plus Trout each limits oof reds drum and flounder. We are experienced and I have a 23' Shoalwater and have fished the area since I was 10 years old. I have won numerous inshore tournaments inncluding THe Pt A DSR twice and Pt Mansfiield Tournament. over the years. Capt Charles knows the water and we found working bait... ifyou got baitfish... you have preditors. Great trip. Buster Williams
