Redfish bite is really hot... along with trout and snook in Ormond and Flagler. As for Port Orange the pompano, snapper and many others are chewing.

Been getting better in the Ponce inlet area with wind and swell coming down a bit. Still plenty of sheepshead, slot Reds, a few trout and starting to see some mangrove snapper and nice flounder.

Trip was great. Little bumpy. Anthony and Austin were super!! Special effort from Anthony getting us more fish!! Very much appreciated. One thing that may help others and I feel could have help us, would be helpful is some preparation explaining the need to hurry when reeling in fish to avoid losing it to other fish. Sounds silly but some practice at reeling in the line would have been helpful to me and my grandsons! I hadn’t been fishing in many years, I definitely couldn’t keep up with the fast reeling! That pace was unexpected by me, I believe a little time in the beginning to get comfortable with the reel and rod would have been helpful to me! Just my thoughts! Again very appreciative of Anthony’s efforts and Austin’s patience with us. He kept the bait coming!!

We had a wonderful trip with Captain Dan to lay my mother’s ashes to rest. Dan was very respectful, explained exactly what would happen and made sure the experience would be a beautiful memory for us. I’ll never forget the sight of the flower petals on the water and the dolphins in the background. Dan worked with our schedule to find a new time when the weather didn’t cooperate on our original date. He was very responsive and easy to communicate with. Thank you Dan!

Captain Mike was awesome! He was actively watching the weather the week before and staying in touch with us. We decided to move the trip up a day to avoid 3-5 ft seas. We stayed out an extra hour even with the crazy cost of fuel right now. I caught 13 snapper alone and had 2 bites so big they broke the leader line. It felt like the rod was going to be the first to break. My friends loved the trip as well catching probably another 10 between them. We will definitely be back in touch with Captain Mike soon!
