An epic 3 days of fishing. Calm waters off Key Largo provided some amazing fishing. We had 2 large bull sharks that agreed. They took their share, but I think we still had a good haul.

Matt Green and sons, AJ and Aiden, had an outstanding day in the backcountry near Flamingo in Everglades National Park. The boys caught about 20 snook (we lost count!), redfish, jacks, trout and saw lots of sharks! They even got to see bottlenose dolphin and a bald eagle to round...

This weekend the bite was on fire! 8 mutton over 12 pounds. Spent the extra time catching livebait and used every single one of them. 20+ bites on the flat lines from Kingfish and false albacore. We couldn't have asked for prettier weather either.

The Snook have been hanging around the local islands and up on the flats,,Speckled Seatrout bite has been good on Florida Bay and on the edge of the Gulf of Mexico,with several trophy Sea trout being caught. The Mangrove snappers have shown up around our local bridges.

Had a great day with Captain Dan and first mate. We pomptly set off and had a fantastic time pulling in a Mahi and half a dozen tuna. The trip was as much as we hoped for…good weather, great crew, and some fish to be cooked at a local restaurant. Highly recommend this charter and will definitely be booking again for some other fishing if/when we make it back to the Keys. Thanks Dan and Pete!

Trip: Islamorada Tarpon On Fly

Capt. Ron was a true professional. He called me the morning of our departure to ensure we were still interested in the fishing trip since the weather was not fantastic (high winds). He provided details about the length of time to travel to/from the fishing spot and conditions while fishing. When we arrived (earlier than scheduled departure time) he was ready and willing to get started early. He put us on the fish and showed us how to cast and catch. We caught so may fish we could not take time to take pictures (except the few attached). It was an awesome experience and hope to book with Ron next time we are in Islamorada. 10 thumbs up!!
